  11. How many Academic All-State participate in other sports? Matt Gerber- Bluffton: Tennis Academic All State Taylor March- East Noble: Football Academic All State Will Sheets- Bellmont: Soccer Academic All State, Track? TOTALFOCUS
  12. I believe out of the 9 Bellmont wrestlers at semi-state, 7 are 3 sport athletes! Fall: 7 played football, 1played soccer Spring: 4 play baseball, 1 baseball/golf, 2 run track Thank God we are a middle size school. People complain about being a small school, I on the other hand embrace the opportunities for student/athletes to participate in multiple sports. Out of the 9 wrestlers at semi-state, I wonder how many wore a singlet before they participated in any other organized sport. Just curious? 5 out of the 9 are seniors. 3 are going to play football for Marion College. 1 of the three won the Tournament of Champions twice! 9 out of the 9 are good young men from good families! Ticket for Semi-State: $9 Large beverage: $4 Meal after with a couple soda-pops: $30 Sitting with Wife,Mom,Dad & friends watching wrestling at Fort Wayne Semi-State: PRICELESS Good Luck to all at Conseco! TOTALFOCUS
  13. Hankenson and Sheets participates in Track for Bellmont. I would assume with the success for Adams in Cross Country he would do Track also. TOTALFOCUS
  14. Jim Mankey cousins - John & Will Sheets, Derek Nelson - cousin Andy Hake All wrestled for Bellmont TOTALFOCUS
  15. Titan, Who did you wrestle for or what team do root for! Just curious. TOTALFOCUS
  16. You should Brandon, you are an encyclopedia of knowledge! Second I would like to give props to Yorktown coaches! Whoever cuts down a coach who has been a positive role model, not only for Muncie area wrestlers, but for all Indiana wrestlers might not know the coaches at all. When my oldest son wrestled for Team Indiana in the mid/late 90's hosted by Yorktown, they (not only coach McCormick & Dulaney), but every Team Indiana coach treated every young man as their own without hesitation. Coach McCormick, Dulaney, Tonte or any other coach in this great State give endless hours to our kids every year. When I sat down in the bleachers last night the first coach that caught my eye was coach Dulaney, and he motioned to me , "Good luck tonight", and I motioned to him the same. Win, lose or draw I would have walked out of that gym with the same feelings toward Troy Dulaney. Good Coach, Good Father, Great Motivator, PERIOD. Troy, Good Luck to Jordan, as long as he is not wrestling Ryley, I know who I am pulling for! Jeff Sheets
  17. Time to let the BEAST out of the cage! Good Luck to all ! TOTALFOCUS
  18. John Sheets - Iranian TOTALFOCUS
  19. Derek Nelson 2005 State Finals beat Thomas Churchard in the first round and Matt Fields for 7th place. Ran into a very solid John Urich first round 2006. Lost by 1 in the first round 2007 to Trace Hall. Has beaten many State placers, Taylor March,Conner Zuber, Travis Smoker, Eli Michaels to name a few. Could ride anyone like a" pony at the fair"! (one of the best mat wrestlers from Bellmont) 17th on the all-time Bellmont career list with 112. 28th all-time pin list with 51. Honorable Mention Academic All-State. Not bad for "who". Josh Harper will win his 4th Title barring sickness or injury! Not the man from U.N.C.L.E. Just Uncle Jeff Sheets
