  3. I sure appreciate you broadcasting this! Also, thanks for updating the brackets. I did notice that an error message occurs when I try to open the 112 and 145 brackets...is anyone else having difficulty opening these tabs?

  6. Bump...Y2's first post (on this thread) has a link to the updated brackets!
  7. Meyer did own Eck. I think you (t.b.eck) may be referring to Meyer's first match. Did anyone else see this match? If so, what did you think? I like Meyer. He is one hardworking kid. I continue to be impressed with his strength and skill-set...good luck at state Daniel!
  8. Fort Wayne : 103: Busz (1) 112: Richman (2) 119: Franklin (3) 125: Bevans (1) 130: Hormann (4) 135: Matteson (2) 140: Busse (3) 145: Venderly (3) 152: Hogendobler (3) 160: Lefever (2) 171: Raypole (3) 189: Thatcher (1) 215: Bultemeier (3) 285: West (2)
  9. 1. Troy/Darin/Benjamin Fiechter-Southern Wells (3-way tie)...never had the chance to see Vince wrestle or it would probably be a 4-way tie 2. Matthew Gerber-Bluffton 3. David Zimmer-Angola 4. Taylor March-East Noble 5. Andrew Howe-Hanover Central
  10. I thought it would be interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on this topic: Which former state champion comes to your mind when you think of the following word(s): Best offensively- Best defensively- Best post-match celebration- Physical Specimen- Humility- Pinning machine- Tech-Fall master- Abundant energy- Best personality- Cinderella story-
  11. No Bultemeier??...he beat Mills 13-0 earlier in the year...just curious why you picked Mills over him this time?
  12. That is funny...I didn't realize that! I guess when you have graduated from Adams Central, currently teach at South Adams, and have a brother-in-law who coaches Southern Wells, that's what happens!
  13. So after placing my picks for the 4 I believe will move on in each weight class, I had a hard time leaving some of the wrestlers off the list. My mind picked the 4 state-bound wrestlers, but my heart really wanted to pick differently in some cases. This being said, here is a "dark horse" pick in each of the weight classes. My heart wanted to have a chance to pick as well! Here goes: 103: Benjamin Fiechter (Southern Wells) 112: Blake Adams (Bellmont) 119: Phillip Gerber (Bluffton) 125: Jordan Armantrout (Muncie South) 130: Brayden Moreau (Garrett) 135: Cody Zink (Woodlan) 140: TJ Burnfield (South Adams) 145: Kyle King (Bluffton) 152: Levi Jones (Southern Wells) 160: Cain Grogg (Southern Wells) 171: Tyler Unsicker (Heritage) 189: Corey Crabtree (Muncie South) 215: Matt James (Jay County) 285: Daniel Meyer (Bellmont) P.S. I know some of these are not huge upsets, but it would pleasantly surprise me if these guys would move on to state! Anyone else care to share?
  14. I haven't seen Green wrestle this year yet so I'm going on blind faith that Biberstine can pull off the upset! As far as Bradley goes, he does have a tough draw...he will have to beat Miller and Ross...would love to see it happen, but just can't get myself to pick him over both of them.
  15. My top 4 in order: 103: Busz, Bevans, Garretson, Hamm 112: Gonzales, Roe, Gilbert, Richman 119: Lovejoy, Franklin, Ross, Troy 125: Bevans, Workman, LeTourneau, Barroquillo 130: Jackson, Fiechter, Smith, Hormann 135: Hiestand, Norton, Hill, Matteson 140: Beck, Schwartz, Martin, Busse 145: Ehr, Lefever, Venderley, Hiple 152: Corpe, Larowe, Mahlan, Hogendobler 160: McCray, Lefever, Hankenson, Lloyd 171: Bratcher, Hamilton, Castner, Raypole 189: Thatcher, D. Scott, T. Scott, Dillenback 215: Biberstine, Green, Bultemeier, Neff 285: Janney, Eck, West, Clark
  16. Jay County Regional...several matches I'm looking forward to seeing... 1st Round: 112lbs. Derek Roe (Adams Central) 32-1 vs Justin Shaw (Wes-Del) 26-5 215lbs. Matt James (Jay County) 35-4 vs Scott Neff (Yorktown) 29-12...Neff lost 3-4 to Bultemeier (Bellmont) at Team Regional Potential 2nd Round: 103lbs. Benjamin Fiechter (Southern Wells) 30-5 vs Brock Bevans (Yorktown) 35-5...Bevans won earlier in the year 4-3 (takedown late in the 3rd period to win) 125lbs. Bobby Perry (Bluffton) 29-4 vs Jordan Armantrout (Muncie Southside) 29-6 130lbs. Carlin Horman (Bellmont) 25-10 vs Darin Fiechter (Southern Wells) 33-3...rematch of Sectional match where Horman pinned Fiechter in 3rd period after being trailing 3-0 140lbs. Jarod Schwartz (Adams Central) 32-4 vs TJ Burnfield (South Adams) 35-5...rematch #3 I believe...Schwartz has narrowingly taken the first two 152lbs. John Mahlan (Bellmont) 23-11 vs Grayson Smith (Norwell) 26-7...rematch #4 I believe...with Mahlan up 2-1 in the season series 152lbs. Levi Jones (Southern Wells) 27-8 vs Caleb Smith (Yorktown) 28-10...As you may be able to tell, I'm a huge Southern Wells fan...think this will be a good match! 215lbs. Seth Biberstine (Southern Wells) 33-2 vs Matt James (Jay County) 35-4 or Scott Neff (Yorktown) 29-12...the Biberstine/James series is tied 1-1, while Biberstine beat Neff 10-4 in their only meeting this year 285lbs. Daniel Meyer (Bellmont) 31-4 vs Jim West (South Adams) 35-1 Potential Finals: 103lbs. Cody Walburn (Adams Central) 28-1 vs Benjamin Fiechter (Southern Wells) 30-5 or Brock Bevans (Yorktown) 35-5...Walburn has defeated Fiechter three times this year (pin, 1-0, 3-2)...unsure if Walburn and Bevans have wrestled yet this year? 119lbs. Phillip Gerber (Bluffton) 28-6 vs Isaiah Bradley (Muncie Southside) 29-3 130lbs. Darin Fiecther (Southern Wells) 33-3 vs Devon Jackson (Yorktown) 41-0...Yes, Jackson won 17-2 earlier in the year, but I think this one will be much closer...hopefully with a different outcome:)! 135lbs. Brooks Faurote (Bellmont) 32-4 vs Andrew Heistand (Yorktown) 37-1...not including his 5-4 loss to Faurote at Team Regional...the series is now tied 1-1 (Heistand beat Faurote 12-2 earlier in the year)...should be an entertaining match 215lbs. Seth Biberstine (Southern Wells) 33-2 vs Andrew Bultemeier (Bellmont) 27-4...potential rematch from Sectional where Biberstine won 15-11 285lbs. Daniel Meyer (Bellmont) or Jim West (South Adams) vs Ross Janney (Yorktown) 39-0 So I guess I'm looking forward to a ton of matches!! It should be a blast!
  17. If a wrestler loses in the first round of regional are they able to wrestle back for 3rd or 4th??
  18. Just got a text that Jones won by pin over Drumm from JC
  19. A few more wow's!: 119-Keuneke (BE) dec. Batt (SA) 6-3 130-Horman (BE) pinned Fiechter (SW)...Fiechter was up 3-0 in 3rd period and got caught in a headlock and pinned. 140-Busse (BE) dec. Burnfield (SA) 11-7...I'm pretty sure this was the score 160-Grogg (SW) #5 seed pinned Fuller (BLA) #1 seed
  20. Yep, Justice pinned him within the first 30 sec. of the first period.
