  1. One of those guys has been reffing since Woody Hayes was a coach at Miami of Ohio.
  2. I watched the match and the very first takedown he slammed his head on the mat and they were doing concussion checks on him and he wrestled on. Just didn't look the same afterwards though. Tsirtis MFF against a teammate in the consi's who went on to a major for 3rd.
  3. Look forward to seeing that 160 match up at Mooresville Regional.
  4. Red and Tsirtsis in the semi's.
  5. What time does wrestling start tomorrow morning?
  6. Morgan County would have to include Bryan Bailey, Briar Runyon and a kid named Kevin Clapper from Martinsville, Paul Burns, Mike Breeden, Alex Warren, Eric Krieble, couple Racic boys from Mooresville.
  7. Can anyone tell me if the Semi's are tomorrow or Wednesday please? Thank you.
  8. Mooresville has and will put on one of the best shows in the state year in and year out. Great gym and the tourney is ran very well. Too bad the Dog n Suds closed down a few years back. You still have Gray's though. Thank you Coach Probst. Keep the tradition going.
  9. I guess that it could be like the Spartan Classic every year with blind draws and the pony express to get any updates.
  10. Evan Stambaugh of Lebanon is having a really good year at QB. 30 TD's against only 8 INT, 2300 yards through 8 games.
  11. John Sims, Cameron Vlahos, Matt Todd come to mind.
  12. Heck, I was at a tourney last year and that old Coach Hasseman was reffing. My little knucklehead Mikey was wrestling and doing some kind of crazy stuff. He was only 5 and Hassman asked "Who is teaching this kid how to wrestle"? I pointed at Tonte. He just laughed. What a great coach you guys have. Wouldn't want to go through his workouts though.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vA3xR81yTNI I believe that Lance Ellis is the about the best there could ever be but Chad Red is great and has proven it. I think that the Lee boys will be knocking at the door for a long time. Mauer and Coughlin are right there. In my simple, old mind. I think that in Indiana wrestling Andrew Howe is still the best. An old friend of mine told me to watch him, when he puts a hand on you, he doesn't stop until he does something to you and when he does, it is not good. My nephew had the pleasure of wrestling him at Freestyle State at the Fairgrounds and shot in on a double, drove him all the way across the mat. Seemed to kind of upset him and he took out his anger on my Nephew. It wasn't pretty. Other than Howe's only loss in his first State Finals, Andrew Howe has been a stud. Other then Howe, I would have to put up Mike Breeden from Mooresville in 1978 but I wouldn't expect too many would remember that one.

  15. If I remember correctly, the Castle Welch boys were the first to have them on for the Finals.
  16. Brock to Northern Illinois. http://indianamat.com/index.php/page/college_signings.html?sort_col=field_364&sort_order=asc&per_page=25&filters[367][2016]=1 http://www.niuhuskies.com/sports/m-wrestl/spec-rel/112015aac.html Don't know if he has changed his mind but this is somewhat, pretty solid proof.
  17. Great job Brock. Making Hendricks County proud. Can't wait to see you in Division 1.
  18. I remember not too long ago when a young stud had a quick takedown on a future Big 10 wrestler and decided to cut him right out of the gate. It came back to haunt him really quick as well. Great job Mr. Garcia.
  19. Remember Adam Chalfant in 08-09 at HWT? He looked to be about 200lbs with a 12 pack when he dropped his singlet after the match. Samuels looked to be 40-50lbs lighter than Streck tonight. Great effort Robert. Will be looking forward to seeing you back under the lights next year as well.
  20. I was at a meet in Martinsville a couple of years ago when Burk was a freshman talking to a guy next to me. I made a comment that I was wondering if the Van Horn's would ever stop reproducing. Seems like these kids have been wrecking havoc on midwest Indiana for about 15 years or so. The young kid next to me happened to be one of Van Horn's brothers and he started laughing and assured me that Burk was the last of them. I am sure that the cycle will begin again in the near future. Great job Burk and look forward to see you climbing the ladder to the top in the near future. PS....You guys need some new singlets.
  21. Sorry about the Luigs. Watching on track and they had it the other way around and now it has changed.
  22. Denny over Egli 10-7 Cook over Luigs 12-0
