At 182 Jackson Randal,l of Floyd, tried to wrestle with a shoulder which he dislocated a week ago. Made it through one match and it slipped out again in overtime of his semi-finals match. Not many people would have even attempted. It was his senior year and he got to end on his own terms. Brandon Sisson

Floyd Central defeated Charlestown 60-15 Last night We defeated Charlestown last night 60-15 Winners were: Tyler Crowl, Terrence Kennedy, Tre Marler, Cory Troutman, Michael Kruer, John Meldrum, Chase Herron, Ian Bagwell, Lance Youtsey, Brennan Banet, and Nick Ottersbach Today at the Old Capitol Classic Placed 2nd 5 points behind Zionsville 106 Terrence Kennedy, 132 Tre Marler, 152 John Meldrum, 160 Chase Herron, and 220 Nick Ottersbach were all Champions. 170 Ian Bagwell, 138 Cory Troutman and an unseeded wrestler, 145 Michael Kruer placed 2nd! 182 Lance Youtsey and unseeded 113 Sean Brown placed 3rd. 195 Brennan Banet placed 4th. 126 Tanner Nifong and 120 Chase Shalosky placed 7th. -
I've scrolled through and didn't see this asked. But will the TRUE alternate get a free pass to state? I know this isn't that big of deal but it would be a decent carrot to dangle when trying to convince a guy to go back out there and wrestle. I know this would be 56 free tickets but it might also get some more families up there as well. Allow the guy to be down on the floor. If his team has wrestlers in the tourney he could still do the walk of champions and help warm up his teammates! Just a thought!

The team went undefeated on the day going 5-0 FC 73 Corydon 6 FC 73 Vincennes 4 FC 67 South Oldham 9 FC 37 Oldham County 29 Ranked 8th in Kentucky. It was a tough dual. My favorites from last night's match from Nebraska and Wisconsin! Wretler from Wisconsin was about to "fight" the wrestler from Nebraska! With guys faking to try and create openings, "They are jittering around!" Finally on a potenially dangerous call with an arm trapped. "His arm was tangled up like a Chinese Finger Trap!" I love the wrestling but I love ridiculous commentary just as much! It's hilarious! -

Last year I know a couple of the boys on the cadet team stayed in Florida and relaxed for a couple of days after competing with us. They then headed over to Orlando and met up with their teams that were heading to Disney. So it is VERY possible to wrestle both Cadet duals and Disney best of both worlds with a vacation thrown in.
