Ah, finally just in time to muddy the waters of the year-end tournament and turn strangers into dire enemies!!
I am still on the #SingleClass side of the argument after several years of debating the topic. I do concede some good points to the multiple class side, or will at least admit that it could possibly work to solve some issues.
My main argument is that the goal is never really clearly defined. What is it that Y2 and others believe that a move to class wrestling will fix? Is it to have more high-end wrestlers? Provide college wrestling opportunities to more kids? Increase the sheer number of wrestlers in the state, regardless of quality? Raise the level of wrestling as a whole for the "average" wrestler in the state?? Is the real problem in Indiana at the small school level only?
Depending on the goal, I've offered my opinion on some others ways these problems could be solved. I definitely don't think that class wrestling is a silver bullet for solving them all.
Hey shoot me those suggestions in a PM I'm not trying to stir the pot I just usally like to see certain ideas

Guys the only thing being edited here is profane language or other language we deem inappropriate. And please no say freedom of speech to me I don't have time to type out that arguement.
-
Look at a guy like Boe no big wins till sectional it's hard to warrent adding a kid of he has dropped out
-
I could have been wrong like usual and he saw them I didn't get em right when they came out either way nbd

The worst argument I have heard about wrestlebacks is that it would eliminate the ticket round lol
Like come on guys there would still be a ticket round it's called the round of 6 ( though I like the idea of a 32 man state bracket which would also it round of twelve )

I don't think this is the main issue I would assume a high majority of people want wrestlebacks.
-
We won't get wrestle backs ever at least in our lifetime
I like the idea of sending 32 kids to state
Wrestle the semi state like we do the state tournament currently
Wrestle 1st round Friday night 8 mats. It's tight but possible
1v8 2v7 3v6 4v5
Run tournament like it is ran now Saturday morn taking less of a break during that big one

I think you under estimate users as well as this site that delivered brackets to every single sectional

Nice article. One of Indiana's best and by just watching him the couple times I've seen him he seems like a great kid.
How do you feel though if you are Austin Bethel, giving him his one and only loss in High School. I did find it funny that the article states Brayton made a mistake late in the match to get pinned. If I remember correctly, Bethel dominated that match early, then Lee made a good comeback only for Bethel to put him away late. The late mistake to me was Brayton trying a desperation move.
All in all, great kid, great role model for future Indiana wrestlers. Best of luck to Brayton as he finishes out his high school career and moves on to the Gophers!
I mean gave up a 5 point move and some take downs a comeback was def possible but yeah went a little to hard near the end desperation got the best of him I think we can all agree that brayton is objectively a better wrestler doesn't mean you can't get caught and have to battle back while an entire arena is rooting against you that's hard for anyone

I have to say I am a bit surprised that someone would take the time to get bent out of shape about something so petty. Yes the wonderful Microsoft has issues doing what it is told. Yes it would be great to run the data through an actual Sql server and let it fix the Microsoft failures. But then a person literally took the time to scrape the data, and put it in one place and put it out there for you, so you don't have to go looking it. Well that guy is obviously a bastard! Lol
No offense taken about the date "issue" I hate Microsoft for that, and many other, reasons.
So here is what I will do, just to keep peoples Pampers from getting all knotted up.... If you want the info, PM me on the board... If I have it I will send it to you. If you don' wwnt ii, don't bother me...
Well technically all you have to do is select the column and make it a "text" data type....no need to add a sql server to it....If I offended (I am fairly confident) your hard work it wasn't my intention...I'm a consultant whose sole job is to find and fix those problems so I notice them and my smartass will comment...i was a little more bent outta shape at ole jimmy acting like this thing was making some kids life complete...any data is good to have but lets not act like being in the sectional is a HUGE accomplishment this is a board to discuss Indiana High School Wrestling as a whole not make sure we are letting every single kid feel special IMO getting to sectional is not something to be put "in print.":

I wasn't going to say anything, but this sort of thing pisses me off. People want to be critical of things and jump all over others, what the poster did in this case was provide us with something that no one else on this board has. A listing over every name in the Evansville Semi-State currently available to him. Hell of a lot more of an effort than I see from others around here.
Someone takes the time to put this out there and the admins want to be douchebags about it. How about you spend more time bring us actual info on whats going on and less time being critical of others.
Are there errors in the listing? i am sure they are. Are those errors the fault of the person posting it? No. Is this the ONLY time the majority of these kids will see their names in print.
Yeah I def don't do anything on this site....
seeing your name in print in this case is the same as seeing it on track wrestling for being in a tournament

They win one at 195 probably that's it....oh that Y21AB guy is a character

How can I get a record of 9-Dec?

So is the goal to eliminate weight cutting? I'm confused now cause no matter the classes kids will cut even for matsode weighins kids will cut no matter what you do because the sport of wrestling centers around being in a weight class people will cut weight.
If wrestling was a class sport........
