    Ford Center ticket lines: any chance of opening up extra ticket lines this year and having a separate entrance line/door for people who already have their tickets?

    The stalling call (after time had expired) in the Mt. Vernon / Gibson Southern 220 match (to tie the match) was one of the most shocking calls of the day. I think coach Alcorn may have broken the 40 yd. dash record from his corner to the scoring table?! Luckily, MV ended up winning AGAIN in Overtime.

    I'm sure this match will garner numerous comments later in the day when the fans get home. Quite a few penalties and high energy from the wrestlers, fans, coaches, Castle tournament staff, etc. The match seemed a lot closer than the final score and must have taken 20 minutes to complete.

    I still believe Andy Schneider (Mt. Vernon Posey) would have / could have played in the NFL even though he never played football in high school. One of the most impressive "big man" natural athletes I've ever seen.

    I think the crowd and fans get into it a little more when there's bulletin board material. However, the "elite" wrestlers are already motivated and fired up for the high profile match-ups.

    I found this post from 08 - it mentions both scenarios ontherise219 Rankings coordinator IndianaMat Staff 3,766 posts LocationREGION School: Calumet Posted December 22, 2008 - 11:40 PM I know I'm About 2 months early, But here are two that almost brought the House down 2002 Alex Tsirtsis Griffith vs Craig Weinzaphel Mater Dei Both were returning Champions. Alex was on his way to 236-0 when he and Craig meet up. The place exploded when Weinzaphel put him to his back twice, I'm pretty sure there wasn't a single person in their seat. Alex went on to win the match and was a 4x unbeaten champ. But this was his closest match at Conseco. 2004 Angel Escobedo Griffith vs Shane Perkey Jimtown Angel was on his way for his 3rd title but Shane Perkey Came out and gave his all throwing everything he could at Angel Even out Angel to his back for a good amount time Once again the place went Bonkers and once again no one was in there seat. Angel went on to win by fall. These were 2 of the biggest moments I remembered

    The schedule section of today's sports page says - Castle @ Memorial. I'm sure everyone planning to go already knows it's at Castle ................but the casual wrestling fan (if there is such a thing!) may show up at Memorial?

    I don't really have a comment but I wanted to post before I left work to see if my Qualifier changed for 500 posts! However, I did enjoy the give and take between IU89 and Merry Christmas. Yep - STATE CHAMP! I'm going to have an adult beverage to celebrate!

    I haven't been to a wrestling match this year. I may go tonight but my season will definitely start by SIAC. So, I don't really know much about Reitz or MD. However, I did hear that those Lee boys, Egli and some Johnson kid are pretty darn good! I get all my intel from this site and twitter. Since your book mentions the average score for the last 28 years has been 55-9...................that will be my prediction. And no I don't know anything about Ferguson...............and if I did..........I wouldn't say. I still play a little poker but I prefer to lose my $$ on the golf course!

    I would always cheer for MD to go to State in Football.......................anything to keep them out of the wrestling room as long as possible Very impressed with their fan base and army of volunteers that continue to develop talent. Year after Year MD's ability to keep reserves motivated when they know they could start for most any other school is incredible.

    Evansville does a decent job on results and rankings (sent in by schools) but lack the daily/weekly stories during the season. I noticed this summer they had just a snippet on Lee and Konrath winning Fargo. I nominate John Johnson as a volunteer contributor to Evansville Courier for weekly features!

    I apologize if this topic was featured recently but I'm too impatient to look through old posts. The "everybody loves a good list" topic got me thinking about this when I saw the Mater Dei all time greats. How many Father / Son state champions have we had in Indiana history? I noticed Chris Wildeman 1981 and Sam Wildeman 2003.
