  1. Best thing that ever happened for Indiana High School football. Last year was my 14th year going. No one can compete with the top 32 schools. Same teams year after year
  2. I believe what ever he desides to do will happen... 4X'er like his big Brother...
  3. You are right, it is all about the Education, no if and or But's. That was not my point here, you need to take back or better yet apologize to the Warsaw Coach and to Coach Goldman that has produced more than one National Champ. AGAIN, Let your son's wrestling speak for itself. Be humble.
  4. Come On Mr. Brooks be a little more humble about your son. You should open your eyes, My Little Johnny would never do that... It's always someone else fault. right? You just added to a post a few weeks ago on why your oldest son quit wrestling at IU, due to Coach Goldman be a terrible coach, now you bash Warsaws head wrestling coach because he never wrestled or acknowledge he is ranked number #1. Man give it a rest here on the board, and be a little more humble. Good Luck to Jarred
  5. On of the best matches I have ever witness was Kyle Ayersman match, Being down with a little over a minute and cutting Campbell, believing in his skills on takedowns was great. What a come back. Good Luck next year Kyle. MA
  6. Thank, just got home from work will be there in the morning....
  7. No Up dated Brackets for the boys over seas?
  8. Steve, Nice note and I hope other kids that read it will take your advice on not being ignorant thinking they have to take any substance to achieve thier goals. What happened that after a couple years this subject is still being brought up? Did I miss someone post earlier? You can understand why some people may have thought the "S" word a few years ago, I seen you wrestle from your freshman year though your state championship and you did get a lot bigger, huge is a better word. Your post stood out because my 17 year old son took up lifting weights himself a year ago and went from a somewhat chubby 175 boy to a 205 solid big boy in just 8 months, bench pressing 340lbs. All with a lot of discipline and hard work. I would not like people talking the "S" word about him. Good Luck Steve and keep up the hard work Mike Adams
  9. Thank you Dolphholic for stating my thoughts 100% and it needed to be said, you are right on the money. What might be bad today will be great tomorrow. Please, Please talk to someone if need be. My Deepest Condolences to the Siokas Family. Mike Adams
  10. I believe the Score of Nathan /Miller match was 5-4, Miller looked like he was weighting at least 235, he was huge, it was a very good match, Miller was strong as hell, only way he wasn't turned with Clevelands far side craddle he had.
  11. Good to hear that you are going, I hope all the other top finishers are going as well, I've been to the meet a few times lots of good matches. It seems like the past few year the Illinois folks do not bash Indiana wrestling like they once did. Sean Mac. I'm hoping to see you there as well. MA
  12. Little Welch has his work cut out for him this evening wrestling my favorite to win it all.... Kyle Ayersman
  13. I only added this vedio because Diamondpocket said anyone can be pinned at any given time during a match, which is true, and I thought this match was a perfect exzample of how it can happen. We all know there will be upsets this weekend as there always is, can't wait.
  14. Come on Galka was not a small 103 lber, he was cutting big time to get there like he did though out his youth career. Now people are writing the same thing about Phillips "If he stays small" It comes down to Athletic kids working hard and catching up. If I remember correctly Blake Mauler (sp?) was a 4X er and started his Freshman year at 130? then 145 and jr/sr. year won it at 171. My point is you don't always have to stay small is it a big adjustment. yes. MA
  15. Another wrestler myself and others thought for sure would might be a 4X was a wrestler named Galka
  16. I saw the same thing, he even shook hands with the other coach, good point.
  17. Diamondpocket is 100% correct on at any given moment one can get stuck. Here is a Vedio of last Saturdays Regionals ( our simi ) in Illinois Ranked number #1 in the nation at 189 lbs. LEE MUNSTER gets stuck. Here is the link it's also posted on the IHSA SITE. YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
  18. Following the sport now for 7 years and loving it, as everyone knows anyone can lose on any given day, just ask Metcalf last year. I remember seeing #1 ranked guys lose in the ticket round as well the past few years. I believe a State Champ is still the champ until he loses it. We all have our favorites which is the beauty of the sport. If I had to say one wrestler has a so called lock this year, It would be Jason Tsirtsis, the boy can flat out wrestle. My second pick of course would be Sean McMurray being a 2X er. I think he's in another league than the other 160 lbers. Can't wait until Friday good luck to all wrestlers.. Mike A PS. Sorry about my spelling and grammer, no spell check.
  19. When do the State brackets come out? Also I would like to say Broad cast Sports network did a great job yesturday of showing the whole tournament for those like myself that were unable to attend due to being to sick. Looks like Merriville had the only posting of brackets as well unless I missed something. Looking forward to next weekend.
  20. Nice letter, I could'nt agree more.
  21. Baseball is also one of the hardest to get a Full Ride in.
  22. Your right Ground hog, I stand corrected, he was at 160...
  23. I watched Anthony Quiroz wrestle and win at the Al Smith tournament @ 152. I would be willing to bet he will wrestle 152 come tournament time, but who knows?
  24. I think it's Bull $hit. Not fair to the other wrestler who worked is butt off all week
  25. A huge Kudos goes to Coach Dan Gelarden and his Maldonado coaching staff in Winning their first ever Lake County Tournament. It looks Like Coach Gelarden youth wrestling club, in which he started about 6 years ago is paying off as he?s spent a lot of time and effort in organizing and running, is finally coming together. Congrats to Seniors Danny Johnson (160) and Jack Seamon (215) on winning their weight class, both part of Dan?s youth program. Again great job Coach G on proving hard work does pay off, things are only going to get better with Munster wrestling in the future. Mike A
