  1. In the hangout I went on a tirade about booing 14-18 year old kids. I also talked about sometimes we, has fans and posters, go overboard on here about how we talk about kids. Last year in the 3rd place match at 160 the fans booed a call in a match I was coaching. It was a no takedown call that got called after the whistle. In the heat of the moment it seemed like they were booing Partee for winning, when they were booing the ref for the initial no takedown call. I think times like that border on being okay, but still.... Never boo when wrestlers are on the podium, never boo when they are being interviewed (!!!) , never boo when they are getting their hand raised... I found myself booing at the end of the Osborn/Paris match, I even got on here and expressed my feelings about the official. When the match ended I shut up. I did not boo when Osborn's hand was raised. I'm just saying booing is going to happen, let's focus it at guys like GrecoRef and not a 15 year old kid who could have a backstory that none of us know?? (I joke, don't ever boo GrecoRef...he's an almost okay guy)
  2. Booing is a touchy subject. I addressed this in the hangout. Maybe we need to develop a "Booing Ethics Code: When it's appropriate to Boo" hahaha...
  3. I'll take that bet... dipping dots? Shaved Ice? Lee is ready to Sound The Siren
  4. Should have listened to hangout...somebody called it
  5. That's usually a nasty semi state or state topic about kids w no chance. I'm glad that one died.
  6. Ahh man sorry we sold out. I'll keep you in mind next yr though ask me early. We usually have extras.
  7. As I'm set to peel out of Madtown, I just thought of 3 threads we didn't see this yr that I think has always been State Week threads. Best to never win Best to never place Best restaurant to eat at between rounds. We should all be ashamed of ourselves.... I'll rep Madison on first 2, Michael Galbreath was a 2x runner up back in early 90s, Michael Miller was a 4x qualifier back in early 2000's. As for 3rd I've been doing either RAM or Scotty's for last 8 years or so, but Boss says I have to find different this year. So I'll be venturing out I guess.
  8. Buy a suite, more time to "relax" inbetween rds and zero stress. Mrs TripleB won't even consider going unless we have suite tix
  9. Whos gonna man up and #SoundTheSiren?? Hahaa Oh and great job Karl!
  10. The print option on track, change printer layout to landscape
  11. Reiser has challenged TripleB to ride the Bull!! So I'll be wherever Bull Riding is going down *Only if Ginuwine is playing!
  12. The asterisk puts the exclamation point of a bad day for Mater Dei. Schaefer could have been Lemony Snickets, because it was a series of unfortunate events. I half way expected Bad News Barrett to drop down from the ceiling declaring "Mater Dei, I'm afraid I have some bad news!"
  13. Evansville was expensive, prices comparable to Bankers
  14. Madison holds 2 full mats and then some. I think it's 100x50, But if your deducting coaches size then it we'd lose some serious footage.
  15. He wasn't DQ'd. He wouldn't have been on podium if he had been DQ'd.
  16. Bethel by fall over Brayton Lee in the ticket round.
  17. Grest Haus is great! Turonis is great! Can't vouch for lamascos food....I didn't see anybody eating
  18. Frederick has a bad draw, but that's why they wrestle the matches and don't let old men like us decide. Hahaha.. I wish all of the HHC guys the best of luck, win your ticket round matches then come find me and say "Take that Twipple B"!!!!
  19. Wrestling4EVER, The pics in the preview aren't my exclusive pics. We had 5 voters on the panel, picks were made and I scored them. After scoring the picks, the highest 4 were considered the Fab4. I mention in the hangout and the article that one of the voters didn't vote Nick Lee, so that makes not a Lock, as a lock needs all 5 votes. I personally think Nick lee is a lock, Bryant Haynes is getting out, and yes Caslteberry has a chance, but I'm taking Ramsey out of that quarter bracket.
  20. OTR looking for some Gold!
  21. I don't' live anywhere near Indy, I drive to Evansville (3 hours) for Semi State, have to get a hotel, I drive to Indy for State 3 times (High School, Folkstyle, Freestyle) and get hotel rooms....I also usually drive to Indy for the annual ISWA meeting (Let Tskin cover it this year). I just drove 4 hours round trip this past Sunday to get my 5 year old matches b/c he asked me if he could wrestle. Nobody can ever complain to me about travel! I just can't wait for SingleB to collect a freestyle medal b/c evidently it's going to be a ghost town in Avon in May.....hahaha....
  22. There is a huge parking spot one block east I believe, just follow the other busses. check out the preview for places to eat!!! Any Mater Dei guys can confirm if Stoll's Country Inn will be offering a wrestling discount again? If so I recommend there after the match, great food.
