  1. Of the three schools that have approached the PAC the travel times to the PAC schools are as follows. Mt. Vernon to the PAC schools one way is 589 minutes. Princeton to the PAC schools one way is 444 minutes. Boonville to the PAC schools one way is 298 minutes.
  2. You posted the travel time difference for Mt. Vernon to the PAC schools vs. the Big 8 schools. Sure the difference will not affect if Mt. Vernon. That does not matter at all to the PAC schools that would be voting on if Mt. Vernon can join the PAC. Those PAC teams are going to think about the added travel time for their schools.
  3. Its all true that those three have contacted the PAC about joining for all sports. The whole thing started when Tell City told the PAC they were thinking about leaving to join the PLAC. But then Tell City backed out of leaving and now say they are staying in the PAC. I doubt Mt. Vernon gets accepted into the PAC due to travel concerns.
  4. Finals start at 11am eastern time tomorrow
  5. 126lbs. Paul Konrath wins 4-0 to advance to the championship match. He will wrestle Gomez of IL 138lbs. Nick Lee wins 14-4 to advance to the championship match. He has won every match by tech fall.
  6. There was a need for a results area for wrestling on this site because there was no other place to get all teams scores. I think what is offered here is great but we still don't get every team to post their results. On the GD there was never a need for results because John Harrell's website already had all those things.
  7. I am not going to go through every post looking for them but the NIC 2015 topic had over 300 posts in it. Also the NIC had a new topic each week to talk about the games that week. Some of those had over 100 posts.
  8. The Indiana Football Digest was started by Tim Adams. Before he died he was also going to put out a Indiana Wrestling Digest. Tim was also a wrestler in high school. The first time I met him in person was at the wrestling coaches fall meeting. He was there to talk about doing the Wrestling Digest.
  9. McKee got the takedown right away. He then turned Nick with three gut wrenches to take a 8-0 lead. On the restart Nick hits a nice throw for four points and almost had the pin. McKee gets off his back. On the restart McKee gets a couple of takedowns and a turn to win 14-4. I think that is how it went down.
  10. He lost by 7 to one of them less than two months ago.
  11. Your question was about Konrath and Mater Dei. You asked your question when the "MD next year" thread was the third unpinned topic on the board. I just don't believe that you looked at all before asking the question.
  12. Nobody has heard this information except for the people that viewed this thread http://indianamat.com/index.php/topic/49967-md-next-year/page-2over 3500 times.
  13. I am sure you are wrong because I was one of those people that was doing the talking.
  14. If you did not see it, it was because you were not paying attention.
  15. The IHSAA has said in the Winter Bulletin that a random draw will not be used. "G. Competition in dual meets shall be conducted by a random draw of weight classes. A random draw for championship final matches for an individual tournament, regular season and/or state high school championship series, may be used for competition. (Rule 1‐2‐2 – NFHS Wrestling Rules Book) NOTE – A random draw for championship final matches in the IHSAA individual tournament series is NOT TO BE USED. Championship matches throughout the individual tournament series shall be conducted in weight class order beginning with the 106 pound weight class. The draw shall take place immediately following the conclusion of weigh‐ins. Subsequent matches will follow in the traditional order. In multi‐dual events, the sequence determined by the draw will be followed for that day’s subsequent meet competition; the subsequent dual meet shall begin one weight class beyond the starting weight class of the previous round. (Rule 1‐2‐2 – NFHS Wrestling Rules Book)."
  16. This year it would cost the IHSWA $2900 to buy tickets for the wrestlers that made the all state first team list.
  17. Tecumseh is out of school today also. We are not allowed to practice. I just called Evansville Reitz's AD to inform them we can not practice and request the additional one pound allowance.
  18. The survey only takes a few minutes.
  19. Draws were not passed out at Castle.
  20. Perry Central is listed under 1A teams. They do not have, and never have had a wrestling team. Also in 1A North Central (Farmersburg) does not have a wrestling team.
  21. Not only was Tecumseh not consulted prior to the change being made nobody from the IHSAA bothered to tell us about it. I am the head wrestling coach at Tecumseh. I knew nothing about it until two weeks after the change was made and I found out from Centrals coach when I called to ask him about their tournament we were going to at the start of the season. I asked our AD and he had not been told of the change.
  22. The distance from Tecumseh is shorter to Castle than it is to Evansville Central on every online map I have looked at. In a bus we take 45 minutes to get to Central. In a bus it takes us 35 minutes to get to Castle.
