roundtablesquires reacted to Maxwell Lacey in High level training opportunities for all ages, Open dates!
My name is Maxwell Lacey and I am currently a resident athlete at the Indiana RTC here in Bloomington IN. I am still currently competing on the Senior world circuit at 97kg. I am very new to the Indiana Mat online space but was told this was a good place to get in touch with wrestling people in the area. Im looking to get involved in the Bloomington/Indy and surrounding area wrestling community, as I have a very high skill level. I can offer unique and tailored training from fundamental basics to world class level techniques and strategies I have attached some information that further breaks down what I can offer. Looking forward to getting and staying in touch.
Regards
Maxwell Lacey

roundtablesquires reacted to bomber_bob in Girls Semi-State
I'm confused how the placement seeded the brackets.
At Penn Semi-State 115, our girl (Kaylee Cates), who placed 5th at the Regional was seeded as a 4 seed. After the brackets were redrawn, she is now seeded as a 2 seed?

WZBD was the only radio station in the state cover this weekend's girls wrestling regional. We have the whole broadcast here, along with interviews with each individual champion in this story:

Not sure their are to many radio stations in the country that does what WZBD does for the sport of wrestling. Although I’ve not personally listened to a broadcast I do appreciate what they have done for that areas wrestling community.

roundtablesquires reacted to Ironbear in Girls Semi-State
Brackets are being uploaded now it took me all of last night and since early this morning until just now to get the correct girls in. They will be released sometime tomorrow depending on how fast we can get them in. A lot of girls are going to be excited for an opportunity to get a second shot at the coveted state title.

roundtablesquires reacted to Ironbear in IHSGW Regional Numbers
Ok so there won’t be holes and forfeits at all. We have always filled the weight classes at the next level. There will be some 5th and maybe some 6th places move onto the Semi-State. Since the beginning we have brought girls back in to fill up weights. So everyone will get a shot that deserves it. Like I can remember not to long ago that their was just 1 or 2 girls in the south regional and we just brought the 5th and 6th place in leveled it out from the north. We will immediately know after the the tourneys completed who to notify for them to come back in for the semi-state.

Look last year there was 2 levels we didn’t get out of Warren Central till after 1am for the semi-state like all the other 3 that were going on. We expanded anticipating over 1,000 girls this year. We didn’t want to have our girls traveling home at those hours of the night. So will stay at 3 levels and it will keep filling up until we are able to expand again.

On average teams averaged 2.5 forfeits each. No way adding another weight class will be an option any time soon.

After one week of practice what are your girl's numbers like.
We (Prairie Heights) have been consistent at 8. Still have our girl's cross country team running this weekend. I know I'm getting 1 from there. Couple others are still flirting with the idea. Trying to get 10+ by the end of next week.
Good luck all.

At John Glenn we have had 20 consistently. Have a couple more waiting for physicals and for us to start going right after school (when football finishes up).
good luck!
