Congrats to Brock Bobzein winning a Greco National Championship.  Brock moved out of Indiana a few years ago...  it would have been nice to have kept him and his younger brother in state.

Evansville had the most champs, the most finalists & the most overall placers. Additionally, 4 of the top 5 team scores were from Evansville (Avon, BB, MD & CE), which is no coincidence as to why they lead the individual categories.

Top dog we will have to agree to disagree. I saw warning for stalling in the 1st, and a point given in the 2nd.  Ref didn’t see it that way. I thought it to be pretty obvious.

Like most people on here you’ll get what I’m saying later when you think about it and look at the big picture as a hole for #TheCounty. May not be today, tomorrow, years from now but eventually you’ll be like man.... This guy made a difference in Wrestling. Heck, I see it now .

Seriously I think both teams are great. I think Avon has a shot to finish higher than Emd at state. Good luck to both teams. I have been a team leader in many teams with Emd guys. Always tough. Furthermore ALWAYS respectful and funny kids. I really do enjoys seeing these kids have success. 

Before the season I was talking with my logansport regional guru @Wrestling Scholar And we discussed how much wrestling AJ had did this summer and how he had solid results. AJ was 6th at the Lafayette jeff sectional as a sophomore and worked his butt off. Saturday he was in the finals at east Chicago that is an amazing turn around. For everyone that is not wrestling next weekend remember keep grinding and improving, hard work will pay off. Great Job AJ and keep it rolling 

Team Garcia is passionate about are area. Can’t knock the dude for that. 
With that said, I think that there is a level of respect for eachothers programs that is not typical. Anytime anyone has success at any level, it seems that the coaches, parents, and wrestlers of the other teams are first ones to congratulate the kids. A lot of the parents hang out together. So the sense of together or being as one is real.

Kid a athlete, kudos to Coach Synder bring in a talented football/wrestler in Mr. Keys. His training partner at 220 (Semi State Champ is a Academy kid. Must be rubbing off 🤐 🤷🏽‍♂️.

The National Anthem at the Evansville Semi-State was the highlight of the day!  Mater Dei churns out great wrestlers and singers.  Well done young lady!!  Chills!!!

Look we  get it, he’s injured as you’ve pointed out numerous times. Glad he’s made it but let the injury thing go man. 

Casebolt vs Montgomery match. Casebolt with a late takedown with :20 to take the lead then gives up reversal with :02 left. Showed little class afterwards as well. 

Many of us would love to see wrestlebacks and yes they would make the draws less impactful (but would not eliminate the effects of a blind draw completely), but that topic is superfluous to the discussion within this thread.
Wildcats2020 made the statement that the entirety of the South Dearborn wrestlers who qualified for SS got favorable draws & insinuated that the brackets were intentionally manipulated to achieve this.
The statement of favorable draws is simply incorrect & the insinuation is ludicrous.

Facts : 
Now over the decade I’ve been watching these Champs wrestle going all the way back peewee years with Cash & Rooks. The ISWA years through grade school, Middle School years now in High School . I can put $ on it they have wrestled before over that decade and I’m sure Cash has a few wins . This isn’t his first rodeo. As I stated up there Cash knows what’s he’s doing on the mat . Actually my son Asa has been beaten by both these wrestlers threw the years . When I said Cash is a bad draw. It’s because they have a long, long history. 
I think you got me confused with someone that don’t know what he’s talking about these wrestlers . 

Hate to see Watson vs Alstott those are two of my favorite kids. Both work super hard. Hate it!

Justice Cash has been around a long time and is very dangerous with his skill. If anything he’s a bad draw. It would not surprise me if Cash throws a couple wrenches Rooks way . 
Yes, I think this is his 3rd year in a row of tough ticket rounds .

yea that top qtr bracket is wide open and imho gonna leave a very good wrestler out in the cold!  1 match at a time and I know Carson can make noise! Regardless he's on a mission and won't let anything stand in his way of getting to the big dance!
