  1. Has to be creamy Jif and I prefer the "reduced fat" one as I am watching my figure. In a pinch I can use creamy Skippy, however, that is what I give my dog too.
  2. Just getting destroyed in this thread. I've always been a picky eater. I have never liked hamburgers, bacon, anything carbonated. My entire life I have ran on peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches. Even with those I need a certain type of bread and peanut butter. They do not sell the bread down here so my mother brings it down when she comes to visit. While on this thread I would like to shoutout my boys Jacob Aven and Wes Bernard. Those guys go to every off-season tournament and it paid off this weekend! Also, I am not the man/wrestler/coach that I am without Vince Sessa.
  3. Very happy and proud of Sonny, have known the boy since he was in diapers. Hope to wrestle him in the finals!
  4. I'll set the over/under at 24.5 (about 21% of all placers) +100. This regional is brutal, but always produces state champ/placer quality.
  5. Triveline-Lake Central is lay Wissel-Richmond is the AD I believe Maldonado-Merrillville is a teacher Trevino-Chesterton is a teacher Sandefur-Mishawaka is a teacher Wadkins-Calumet is a teacher My region side is showing with these lol
  6. I've been waiting to have this conversation forever. I've heard cowcatcher, bulldog, crusher, and for some reason my dad always said "Jake". Crusher was always my personal favorite. I believe it is more of an Illinois term.
  7. Illinois does a similar event, hoping to grow this event to that level. We have the insurance needed and are hoping for a good turnout.
  8. "Fake State" is not how I would describe it. I see this as a way to grow the sport. Kids will wrestle only kids in their grade and their weight. This might be different from ISWA state where kids are grouped by their age and weight. It's promoting more wrestling which is always a good thing.
  9. Dorian Keys at Brownsburg. First two years at Ben Davis he didn't wrestle. Came to us a junior and won a title that year plus a 3rd place finish. His first match against Westfield, he almost was DQ'ed for locking his hands too many times.
  10. The rat is out here telling everyone my arsenal. Shhhhh keep it down. If I eat bacon this weekend I demand lake county claims me again!
  11. I see that this vote is not going the way I would like it to. You can take the rat out of the region but you can't take the region out of the rat.
  12. Would love to come back to my old stomping grounds. The Robert Emerick Harvest Classic is all about tradition. Have heard many great stories from others about coach Emerick. Here's one from my dad, while he was an assistant coach and they were setting up for the Harvest Classic he asked coach Emerick if he needed any help or anything else from him. Coach Emerick responded with, "Go home Timmy, I'm just going to sleep here tonight", and coach Emerick slept in the coaches office that night, many great memories from this awesome tournament!
  13. Can speak for the Brownsburg boys: Braden Haines wbf. Jared Brown Ty Haskins dec. Dylan McKelvey Blaze Garcia dec. Zach Wilson Blake Mulkey maj. dec. Braden Haines Some other resultsI heard was: Asa Garcia dec. Logan Wagner Anthony Hughes dec. Alex Cottey
  14. After practice Jason and I will be taking part in a checkers match.
  15. Looking forward to seeing Jason show some awesome technique. Come get yourself seen by a B1G coach! Just to be clear there will not be a match between him and I at the end of practice.
  16. Pretty excited to see some technique from a national finalist!
  17. What Snyder failed to mention was wrestlers from Brownsburg, Tri-West, Cascade, Mooresville, Avon, Monrovia, Cumberlands, St. Thomas More, and UIndy all in the room last night. Was great to see.
  18. Great stuff. Appreciate Mike for filming, was an interesting watch!
  19. Definitely not coming out of retirement but I will lace them up tomorrow.
  20. My senior year at Lake Central we qualified all 14 to the regional then 12 to the semi-state. We ended up with only two going to state, the ticket round was brutal to my teammates. I remember warming up and one of my teammates had Miracle in the go round and I remember telling him that the whole crowd will be against him and to stay focused...it unfortunately did not work out for us.
  21. In 2011, my buddies Chad, Doug, and Luke Welch all placed. Chad and Doug won it back to back which was really cool to see. I believe it was Doug patted Chad on the butt after winning it all. This year at Brownsburg, we have the Ison brothers and the Haines brothers in our starting lineup.
  22. Shocked that you guys pulled out of Brecksville. Would see more nationally ranked teams...numbers 6, 8, 17(us), 26, and 28 that's just the top 30. We get to see Davison Michigan(#8) three times this year, pumped to see how our guys perform!
  23. Get well soon coach! The Ayersman family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
