  1. Disregard. Read a previous post wrong. Looks like this is happening tomorrow.
  2. A. Bethel of Wabash (formerly Mt. Vernon) records a fall against 15th ranked Justin Thomas from Oklahoma in the first round. He then went on to lose back to back 1 point matches.
  3. You're remembering the match correctly.
  4. So the 3rd place team finish last year with only 2 returning champions (if my memory holds) isn't good enough competition to come back too?
  5. Why did Avon drop from the MD Holiday Classic?
  6. With the addition of Esclara to the current 106 bracket, he would be the favorite.
  7. I don't think people viewed Lee as a "lock" that year. If memory holds, B. James was the favorite going in.
  8. How does Paul Konrath stack up had he wrestled this year as a HS Senior? On the same note, does anyone make Nick Lee break a sweat? Thoughts?
  9. I'd throw Alex Johns up there as well, very comparable accolades. Absolutely. 3x placer (2, 3rd place finishes). 2x DII all American for UIndy and has just accepted the head coaching job at New Pal. Once again, success at every level, all in Indiana.
  10. As far as the best Indiana legacy, my vote would have to go to Matt Coughlin. 2x runner up, 2x champ. Continued his career for the Hoosiers and was an all American. Now, coaches a fantastic club that cranks out state placers, state champs, national champs, etc. every year, in Indiana. The guy has never left our state and has had success at every level of wrestling. I'd throw Alex Johns up there as well, very comparable accolades.
  11. As of recent, yes. 2x state champ and an 8th place finish. The 8th place finish could've easily been 2nd, possibly 1st. Also, he knocked off a returning state champion to get his first one.
  12. Best in Indiana? He isn't even the best in Southern Indiana. Drake Stein from Princeton Community has a better high school legacy.
