Funny thing is EMD needs no one to come their aid. To put it plainly; they have simply been the best team overall in IN for the last 25 plus years. Especially considering the schools size and demographic. They will compete for that title. It isn't Warren's just yet. However it's hard to argue with math. That is why Intermat ranked them that high. As for Indiana not being Elite? We've come a long way baby. And think of all the Native Sons who have left our borders who are obviously great(Stevensons, Boston, Hayden Lee). The kids are raising their level however it takes nearly a generation to build that kind of foundation(ask The IWF). We are getting there that's why I haven't moved to back to Iowa just yet. I have to see how this year goes locally, regionally, nationally. Let's get it.

And with McKinney I believe they should be higher. It is going to be hard to beat this team in a dual.

The Summit Athletic Conference has been down recently. We have been averaging less than 2 state placers a year. Can this be the year we buck that trend and have a renaissance? If so then whom? Can anyone dethrone Snider? With Carroll and Homestead joining the action in 2 seasons can the traditional schools raise their level?

If you are wrestling in the Big 10 you are wrestling with the best week-in week-out. It doesn't matter if you go to IU Nebraska or Uof I you wrestle the best. As for Blake I'm glad he went to IU and we now have some homegrown talent there. I like Iowa State but I'd rather root for my Hoosiers just like b-ball. They've actually have done a pretty good job recruiting the last 3 years. Fletcher Miller, G Pep, Cash.....

Good points I won't even counter. That being said Williams has some pretty accomplished people pushing him as well. I wouldn't be so confident if I didn't have privy to that fact. We won't see this match up until Regionals. I'd be lying if I said I can wait for this one.!

I hope Blake is Healthy as well. He is a talent. We need him in our area. I have a good rapport with his brother and always speak to mom and dad when I see them. Nothing against him believe me on the contrary. I believe he will have a medal around his neck by years end. However, the topic is who is going to win the Semi State? I say Williams. I'll quote my Grandma Betty Swanson~ "I'm not always right, yet I'm seldom wrong."

NWCA All Star Classic- too much funk

I feel two ways about it. If you know the principles of good scrambling (head high wins it) then "funk" can take you far. I did it in high school drove my coaches nuttz. However the great Thomas Jarman taught solidness trumps everything. Solid position and a good down block can deter any foe. As I age I prescribe to the latter. -

James Starks FW Northrop State Champ and Runner up At 171 he was a monster. Athletic and Superhuman strength. He and Boes put on a show! I still believe his loss as a Junior in the championship was one of the biggest upsets I've seen. -

Your head coach is a friend of the Family so I'll choose my words wisely. And you defeated my favorite wrestler in the Semifinals last year so I'll gather you know your stuff..however. Vision Quest was great for wrestling but not a great wrestling movie. C'mon now the fake throws and firemans carries! The coach with the shirt under the singlet? Bad music and hairstyles. I'd rather see Pinned. Good luck on the season Ty! -
By Far. Always seems to be. We call it kill weight for obvious reasons. Hudkins, Torres, Bailey, Reitz,....and that's just the guys we know about. In our area we even haves some guns there. Should be interesting and dare I say it; a Meatgrinder!
