wrestlenewbie got a reaction from waistingtime in Stop Booing!
Can I have an Amen? I was amazed that kids got booed because of injury. The attitude around me seemed to be "if it is my kid then it is legitimate. If it is anyone else then they are faking it and just looking for a little rest." Assuming you know anything about the internal thought process of the kids on the mat is just plain wrong.
And is it really likely that not a single kid you do not follow did not get injured? Because it sure seemed that was the assumption some fans (the poor sports) were making by booing every injury not related to their team or kid.

I know nothing about wrestling and even I could tell what an amazing display of grit, guts, mental and physical toughness I was witnessing every time Stevenson took the mat. That he would always choose down and then crawl to the center told you all you need to know about his compromised body. But absolutely nothing would compromise his mind.

Is there any such thing as an un-biased opinion? All opinions are affected and formed by biases, acknowledged or otherwise. So allow me to acknowledge my bias for Nick Lee as best pound for pound. The good news is that there is no bias to my bias. It is purely biased.

Every pair is unique:
Bo and Blake Davis lead the pairs with 88 total wins (against 10 loses)
Nick and Joe Lee have the best win percentage at 98.4% (61-1)
Bo and Hunter Hiestand are the only pair in the same grade (12)
Evan and Ethan Smiley are the only pair with the maximum spread in grades (12 and 9)
Riley and Justin Akers are one of only two pairs where the younger out-weighs the elder (195 vs 138) and theirs is by the largest margin
Jake and Nate Weimer have the greatest family parity (0.174% diff in win %)

There is absolutely no good way to award a team title in the current format, because no one has their team there.
Anything they do will be a bad option. I think it is a waste to worry about the best bad option. Y2 compared one of the alternate proposals (adding points from all four rounds) to adding up the points a football team scores in the season. The current format is akin to picking the best team by adding up who has the most all-staters on their team.
There is no getting around the fact that the current format assesses the team based on the performance of a few individuals. That is the antithesis of the team concept. So trying to make marginal adjustments around that core concept is meaningless. Accept that the team title means little in the current format and lobby for a true team championship with whole teams represented. They do it next door in Illinois, why not in Indiana?

all this wasted energy on the brackets when you could all be solving the Kennedy assassination.

yep, put one of the lower ranked SS winners on one side with James and the other with Lee and Cash would have seemed more sensible.

Holy cow, what a great and thorough job putting this together. Well worth the wait. Loved the Sir Charles theme throughout. And the Round Mound of Rebound would love that you avoided all those 'idiot' stats and went with the eye test. Of course, 'the Hobbit from the north' needs those eyes checked. He got his Lee's backward.
Great work.
