WL wrestling

Was trying to explain to an out of state coworker how our state series works and was trying to find a map that showed how the state was divided up. Couldn't find one, was bored at work so I made a crude map that shows how the state schools are broken down into regionals by color. The school lists were pulled from the indiana mat bracket page. Nearly went the distance in his first (second) year wrestling...
Graduating at semester so he won't have a post season run...
Can cut a huge amount of weight to take on an "unbeatable" foe (Cristian Carol)...

Does your school give individual State Championship and/or runner-up rings?  Does your school pay for them? If so would anyone be willing to post a picture of your ring?  My AD is wanting to design a ring for our Runner-up.

I want to  say Congratulations on a GREAT HEAD COACHING Career Avon, LN, & Zionsville!!  You coached numerous State Placers, State Champs, HS All Americans, HS National Champions, NCAA Div. 1,2,&3  wrestlers, Nationals Qualifiers and All Americans.  You were the only Head Coach during the IHSAA Dual Team State era to take 2 different Schools to the IHSAA State Championship match (Avon, LN) both finishing 2nd....Never could win the big one (Ha Ha)!! There are many more accomplishments you have achieved in your career, but those are the ones that counted the most & that I remember!
I wouldn't be the Wrestling Coach, Husband, Friend, or Father I am today without having you as a friend & mentor!  The true greats in any sport are the ones who give back, and leave it better than when they got it.  You have done a tremendous job promoting our sport, growing it at every level,  at every school you were a HC.  I have truly enjoyed every second coaching with you at LN (memories I will never forget) and the battles coaching against you (even though our wives hated those matches) HA HA!!!! You always bring the best out of not only the athletes you coach, but the opponents you coach against.  I am going to miss not seeing you on Saturdays, it will not be the same!!!! Enjoy the 1-0 record against me, you will have it forever!!!  
I can't wait to see you in the Hall of Fame, with all the other great coaches who have given countless of hours away from their families, to do good for others in this sport. Enjoy the extra time with your little ones!!!! I know you will keep giving back, see you on the Pee Wee circuit!!

Scholar:  Harrison and Jeff aren't small schools.  Delphi has had more success than all the Lafayette schools combined in the last few years...Atwood, Lynde and Mote...they qualify as a small school.

In the rare case a wrestler is 3-0 vs the field (vs bottom 3 kids) but has an YTD record of 10-14 and never made beyond Sectionals would get the #1 seed instead of a wrestler that is 0-0 vs the field with an overall record of 32-2 with 2 semi-state appearances on their resume?  

I believe fualkens was brought in because of stuff that has occurred in the past. Maybe this sectional title is a little closer now.

Guys...I know there is an issue with kids and getting a raw deal. BUT...the bigger picture and question is WHY WAS THE COMMISIONER RUNNING IT AND WHY DOESNT HE KNOW THE RULES??

The fact that some seeding meetings are using the criteria differently already makes it a flawed system for the entire tournament.

Did anyone notice at 220 that a kid that is 8-28 got seeded above someone that is 27-10? And on top of that the two best are on the same side now.
 
There will be a few #2's out of the other sectional that do not like what they see Saturday afternoon.
