  1. If you are good enough to be worrying about tech falls in the "to go" rounds you better be good enough to stay off your back. Those are not playing around rounds.
  2. From a Vet.....Thanks for helping my fellow brother.
  3. Now in your example is Red, Chad or someone different. Maybe his dad. And this Green person is it spelled Green or Greene.......Great example and well explained just giving you a hard time.
  4. I disagree, the points are already earned. The only reason they are held is to give the offensive guy the chance to pin, to increase his team points.
  5. Wasn't there a new rule or emphases on change in situations giving time to recover from situations. Something to the extent of giving the more aggressive wrestler the advantage. For example a defensive guy on bottom does a move that takes him to his back, the count doesn't start till the bottom guys secures him. Not sure if that is even correct, but thought it might have some ties to this subject. A few years ago we had a kid do a roll through cradle, which was like slow motion but never stopped and got called pinned. I would say the tech fall wins. In order for the guy spladle to be pinned there would be a change in position with would stop the match because of the tech fall.
  6. How is this? I thought there were 18 credits max for each wrestler. single duals (min of 4) as 1 credit each and each weekend with 2 or over teams counting as 2 credits. conference tournaments count toward the credits (which is silly since we burn up some while wrestling during season).
  7. I see the benefit for having dual meets during the week and super duels on the weekends. I guess the problem I have with dual meets during the week is that they start so late, which gets kids home between 10-11pm at night. There is also issues with trying to get homework completed, and let’s not kid ourselves some of these kids need all the time they get for homework (doesn’t mean they will do it). Dual meets during the week also make it hard for a balanced diet and creating routine. I do agree it can bring more fans in, but if it is not promoted or made into an event the outcome of increased attendance doesn’t happen. Warsaw has Super Dual matches in the first part of our season and in the back end of our schedule the weekend tournaments shift to individual. I understand the concern about the weekend events, but it makes sense to me because the conference, sectionals and up are held on the weekend. A huge part of time in these programs are getting kids conditioned and geared up to wrestle their best for these meets. There is a huge difference watching kids that are conditioned to wrestling long tournament verses ones that are not use to it. To me it is easy to pick out the ISWA and HYWAY kids during these events. I feel these weekend tournaments teach the kids the mental and physical toughness needed to be ready for the end of year events. Once again if you have a home tournament and advertise and promote it than it can be just as successful, if not more.
  8. That is pretty presumptuous of you to pick the winner of that group to wrestle Pepple!
  9. Huntington North Elkhart Central Manchester
  10. East Noble won, Warsaw second Warsaw won 120, 152, 195, 220 (Hatch, Gareiss, Nolin, Brock) Warsaw second at 113, 126, 132, 138, 182, & HWT (Gonzalez, Hile, Lee, Taylor, Gomez and Penn) Not sure after that. The tournament was changed to a round robin because 3 schools cancelled. That way kids could get 3-4 matches. Great adjustment on the fly. As always East Noble does the best they can to accommodate.

  15. I went 2 times, both involved 2 coaches arguing every kid they had and how they were better with no proof and 6-6 records (but they were good beats). No one really got anything else completed. Will say that I am some what disappointed and think that either the seeding criteria needs changed or follow it!!!!!
