    So some kids are going to make a name for themselves and have goals/dreams come true, others are going to suffer heartbreak and the parents who have devoted years of time/money/vacations in gyms etc will not be able to witness/celebrate/cry with their kid? That's tragic for all involved. I know not the answer but I hope those schools involved have reached out to the IHSAA and Faulkens. I know logistics are tough but there has to be a way/place to be able to have 200-300 parents be able to attend. #amirite

    I checked the missing wrestler thread and didn’t see his name so I would say Steenbeke is a shoe in. I did not look at a bracket tho so maybe I’m missing something.

    I echo Disco’s sentiments. He’s got 4 years of wrestling and a lot can change in his wrestling ability/passion/development. He should go where he’s comfortable and fits and has a path (note not a guarantee) to start or have an impact. The degree is the priority and to be able to get one debt free is a great start in life. With that said, I’d go to CMU. #FireUpChips

    Maybe if they classed vaccinations....I kid, of course. However, we could be doing the best, some would say the bestest, distribution of vaccine and I doubt a state series that begins in 3 weeks would be minimally impacted considering we are on, what, people in the 80's to get in line? Unless your insinuating that wrestlers and families should be ranked higher (see what I did there) in importance. Anyway, not a politician, nor a desire to start a class the vaccine 10 page thread but not seeing how vaccine distribution issues play a part in an event that begins 3 weeks from now. To stay on topic, I support wrestlers getting a chance to reach their goals, whether I'm there or not this year.

    I understand @Mattyband @ontherise219takes, I do. However put yourself in the shoes of those parents who have put in the years/time/$$ for that program for years only to have a transfer take your LittleJimmys spot in the lineup in high school. Does that change your view at all? There is always somebody better..how would you like him to move into your district at your sons weight? It might then be a big deal or matter! No?? And this has nothing to do with this topic as it relates to Penn or anyone else. Just more of a loyalty/commitment thing to me. To stay on topic. I support Penn wrestling and am glad to see the passion for #TheNorth and am also proud of #TheCounty for not hijacking the thread.

    21st Century, Disco....welcome to it. Embrace the technology. I'm a D3 guy so @TeamGarcia and @Mattyb etc can provide you their go to D1 and IU sites if their so inclined. BTW how are you going to change that Contender icon hat emblazoned with #TeamGarcia from gold to #PainTrain purple?

    Damn. I’m so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with Baxter and his family. He loved watching Baxter wrestle and was so proud of him and the man he’s become. I shared a suite with Doug at state 4 years ago and I’m so glad my path crossed with this great gentleman. Doug provided a shoulder to cry on and advice that helped me thru one of the toughest couple months I’ve ever experienced as a wrestling parent this past winter. I shall be forever grateful. Eternal peace grant unto him O Lord. What a great tribute to him in the obituary. Spot on to who Doug was.
