  1. I see this topic every year and every year I think the same thing...how absurd.  To compare an entire conference against one team is ridiculous.  Carroll’s program is a decent program because of the time and effort put into by coaches, parents, and mostly the young athletes.  I would love to see the Chargers

in a conference, but not the SAC.  They gain nothing from it.  The ability to go wrestle other programs around the state benefits our wrestlers more than facing SAC schools, some of who cant field a full team.  Im excited to see what is happening at Blackhawk Middle School and the efforts they are making to improve wrestling in the area.  Carroll is far from the Cathedrals, Crown Points, and Mater Dei’s but they are continuing to improve.  Im pretty knowledgeable of the program and am comfortable saying Carrolls program is better than some mostly due to the off season wrestling these young men do. Every wrestler has those opportunities.  I would like to see more effort into improving the FW semi state

and our area than talk if an all all star SAC team can beat Carroll.   Carroll

has an RTC program all summer, didnt see too many SAC wrestlers up there.

You guys need to grow some thick skin...i asked a question and gave my opinion...and the greatest state is ohio by the way.

Well lets be honest the greatest state is Hawaii.  They got miles of beautiful beaches, Hula girls, and those cool drinks with fruit and umbrellas in em....BUT my son doesnt wrestle in Hawaii so exacto facto Indiana wins by default.

Dissappointed not to see semi state rankings...also are those wieghts listed guesses...i seen one of a kid who wrestled 152 in late october but hes listed at 160 in the rankings.

No its not a guess...he called every kid in the state to verify what he or she will be going this year.  Of course its a guess...cmon man.  These wrestlers are gonna bounce all over the place!  Enjoy the magazine for what it is, a great insight into the greatest sport in the greatest state!!

Ill agree with this other than at 120 Ill take Krider from Carroll (he defeated Aumick 9-1 just a few weeks ago) and Ill take Lawson at 285

  7. Let me preface this question by saying the rankings look great and pretty spot on in my opinion (which means nothing) but I do have a question.....In state rankings you have Hiestand from Yorktown at 138 and Rutter from Yorktown at 145 but in FWSS you have Hiestand at 152 and Rutter at 138.  Just curious which was correct.

  8. 106 Shearer Garrett

    113 Wertman Garrett

    120 Demarco  Garrett

    126 Standridge  Carroll

    132 Hargrove  Garrett

    138 Arney  Carroll

    145 Jimenez Aguirre  Garrett

    152 Gunion  Garrett

    170 Partin  Churubusco

    182 Clem  Homestead

    195 Davis  Garrett

    220 Davis   Garrett

    285 Camp  Garrett

Garrett is running away with this thing!!!  Forget Carroll and the SAC the Railroaders are in the house!  Good picks coach!

If the '71 is for your birth year then I respect your wisdom and candor. Only one objection. I'm firm on Miller.

It is.....Im glad your standing strong....I dont like people that waiver.....we will see in a few days, and if Im wrong Ill be the first one on here admitting it.

Anybody got any unbiased picks for semi state qualifiers.  Im a Carroll homer, so they are all going!  Lets here some neutral parties chime in.

Looks like Carroll has a lot of work to do.  Good thing they have a lot of young men on the team willing to put in the time and effort.  Good picks Y2!

  11. We took the loss like we take any loss we take its tough. As I have said 2 Times already nice win Carroll guess you did not see that part, .There are no excuses we just wanted to separate our small team for obvious reasons .it wasn't over fed that day it was 2 weeks we put weight on him. He went 113 at this time last year and is up 4 weight classes this year. I like bumping into the hs division I did it the year before with chan figured he is going to be wrestling high school might as well do it now. So in finishing nice win for mr hicks you also are very talented young man.......who knows we will probably be up weight again next year and could meet again . And believe me with some of the officiating around here we know it sometimes does not go your way but hey that's life hopefully it just makes him work harder. Good luck whoever this is from Carroll you know who I am

Chris Hicks, pleasure to meet you.
