Bailey and Cummings 2nd round, Bailey and Konrath 3rd, Reitz Egli 3rd round as well. These will be AWESOME MATCHES TO WATCH regardless of the bracket situation. Not to mention Hildebrandt vs Konrath in the 2nd round. If I were a betting man, my money would be on Reitz. He just seems like a machine as of late.

Reitz will shock the world I think. He has looked AMAZING as of late. No one will touch micic, or Robinson.

they had the format last year with the true alternate wrestle backs, but that seemed to make the matches less desirable with the lack of performance by the athletes. Kayla Miracle and I were talking and she had just been put out, and she said that "she doesn't have the desire to wrestle knowing that she wont move on." So they dumped that format this year. I think that there should be a 5th and 6th place match to determine the alternate in case they are needed.

Black is the alternate, and we find out his fate by tomorrow at the latest. I just hope that Hartman makes a full recovery.

He has to go to a specialist today to find out his fate. In my experiences with this situation, I have found that most "Specialists" have you sit out a minimum of two weeks. Most are made to sit out 3 weeks. He also needs to have at least two practices in before he can compete, so that would mean that he has to be cleared by Wednesdays practice in order to wrestle on Friday. This will probably not happen due to the fact that Hartford was unconscious at Semi state. He had no clue where he was when they raised his hand. So in my opinion I would say that Black has a 90% chance being the fill in alternate for state. It was unfortunate that Hartford was injured, and it was unfortunate the Gaige will not be able to compete. The state tourney will be a little bit lighter in the pants at 120 now. I just hope that if Black is allowed to participate in the state tourney that he represents himself to his best ability.

Yes Brendan Black is the alternate. We are all waiting to find out the diagnosis from Saturdays mishap.

I wish there was a like button on this one. I hate that kids use the out of bounds are as a way to flee. it drives opposing coaches nuts!

Go Buckeyes! I got Coach Ryan and the boys in this one. Sorry Boilers. Its time for the Buckeyes to get back in the swing of things today against the Boilermakers after that loss to TTUN on Friday.

the finals will have a great match-up in almost every final at this regional. I like some of the rematches!Reitz v/s Delapena.... Crary v/s Garza....Torres v/s Black....Sopko v/s Lee and Hollins v/s Fowler. These match-ups will be a great tune up for semi-state at Merrillville.

There is a great chance that Torres from portage and Black from Hobart meet three weeks in a row. Might not be in the finals but they will meet 3 times possibly

thank you blackshirtD I'm just trying to get our kids names out there to get a buzz around these kids so that can feel what it feels like to know that someone out there notices the hard work that they have put in. Not to mention I've coached some of these kids since they were 5. I love this time of year. I even cut weight like I'm still wrestling. My kids love that we are talking about them because they look up to us. I hope that I don't offend any alumni with my rants but I mean no disrepect what so ever. Just goin to bat for my kids.

Does anyone know if this is going to go on as planned this Sunday? Seeing that the weather is quite severe I was just wondering if it would be canceled or not? If anyone has some info on this it would be awesome!

Looks like we are three teams short for the invite. The word is that some JV might get side matches to get more mat time for kids at the end of the year. If this is true that is awesome!!!!
