  1. Ladies and Gentlemen, and the rest of you also, There seems to be an impostor using an old account I had here and I am here to tell you that the comments of one FAKE Bluebolt are not mine. Life has taken over and I have been unable to keep up with the sport I love, and yes my beloved Castle Knights, but some of the comments made while hiding behind my "name" are completely the opposite of how I, Rob Shaw, feel about the subjects being discussed. In short, I was unaware of these goings on and was VERY surprised to receive the reception I did when I walked into certain situations. I can only apologize for the actions of others, but assure all involved these were NOT my actions.
  2. Please watch over and protect our youth as they begin this challenge in their lives. Teach them and show them the strength of the efforts. Above all, please keep them safe and healthy through this endeavour.
  3. Apparently MD fans eat their own. You can have your opinionopinion, and I can have mine... Truthfully all I care about at the end of the day is that EVERYONE wrestles their best and ends the day healthy and ready for the next step in their journey. You want to sling petty insults? It's what we have come to expect. I do have to ask, how do you have time to post all your Westside love while keeping up with the Mater Dei teams laundry and driving them around town?
  4. I don't disagree at all with you Backtothemat. But it's going to be a grind for everyone to make it to Semi State out of this regional this year. The Castle and Central sectionals are loaded with some great individuals. This year's regional will be the most competitive we've had in a long time from 106 to 285.
  5. So its petty for someone with a bad leg to point out that the "planners" couldn't come up with a better parking plan? They are also the same "planners" who can't get a hotel built in a spot that was once the home to an existing hotel. Yes folks I am a disabled veteran that doesn't quit get the Concept of putting a stadium in a place with no parking. Do I want to use handicapped parking, their are people that need it far more than I, but you walk the "one block" in February with a right leg in the same condition as mine and let me know how wonderful the planning seems to you... I'd get off. My soap box now, but my leg is killing me. So I will just sit right here for a bit.
  6. I have to wonder about the MD line up at 113,126,160-182, and 220-285. They are not the type of line up we have seen in the past from MD. They win the Sectional, but I can see a real possibility where it's on the strength of thirds and not bringing all champions into a regional loaded with talented kids from 106 to 285. Let the bickering begin... But look at the performance this year and tell me you don't see what I see.
  7. Since it's the Sectional I would never bet on anyone sending a full team. Always some bizarre outcomes this time of year.
  8. I have to ask, you REALLY think Happe will be involved in a sectionals match that has Semi State Ramifications?
  9. I think some people are forgetting g what everyone has to get through to get to Bankers... Nick Lee is the real deal, no doubt, but he won't make it to Chad Red if he is injured. He can make it to state, but I wouldn't take Superman if he was injured vs Red
  10. Brownsburg is a real Contender .. This year could very well be a Changing of the Guard sort of year in the state. Old powers begin to fade, new programs step to the foreground.
  11. How about they offer Premium Parking instead... Like within 2 miles of the doors..
  12. Where the paper towel issue is concerned, we at Castle are taught to not pee on our hands... As for the scorers table help, these folks bust their Butts and provide one of the best run tourneys year in and year out. You can find faults in just about anything of you look hard enough. And as for the ever "grumpy" Bob Harmon, he's possibly the most misunderstood human ever judged from the stands. Is he tough? None tougher! Is he demanding? Only of his kids best efforts. And is he cranky... Ok, yes he's cranky... But we would all run through a burning building for him because he has given so much to us by being cranky, and demanding, and most of all... Coach
  13. Don't use me as your scapegoat to make your point. The SIAC was one for the history books, and the Ramsey/Jordan match was a huge match on the day. Congrats to Jordan on a hard earned victory and let history be what it is.
  14. They are high school kids you know. I know for a fact Austin Ramsey is a great kid. I am sure they all are.
  15. There was a lot about the SW Indiana sectionals swap a few years back that made no sense. But it is what it is.
  16. They better wrestling this given the snow down here! This is the beginning of the best time of year every year!
  17. I was just going to ask the same question... Should be out of here by this afternoon and that gives them plenty of time to plow a path from each school to Castle's gym!
  18. http://www.ihigh.com/ihsaachampionsnetwork/broadcast_283765.html?silverlight=1
  19. I WISH he had been a Knight! But at least he is realistic... Some people NEVER LEARN.
  20. I am completely in awe of the complete stupidity it takes to post something like this in the first place. Mater Dei is a program that has set the pace for the growth and expansion of our sport in the South Western Indiana area. Like them or not, you MUST respect their accomplishments and those of their coaching staff and supporters. I am NOT a MD fan, and I will admit to enjoying watching them defeated, but ONLY because it was what has pushed and driven so many young men and coaches to reach for the level of excellence required to do so. To have a win over ANY Mater Dei team is a nice bullet statement on any resume. I for one respect anyone who steps into the driver seat of a program that has enjoyed such unrivaled success and dared to bring their vision to such a storied program. Maybe if people took the time to look at things as they REALLY are and not buried their heads so far up their backsides they saw their own tonsils they could realize that Wrestling in the state is stronger due to the drive and determination of programs that have chased down the Mater Dei's of the state. Thus without the Mater Dei's of the world, their would be no bar to shoot for. Go a head...take your idiot shots at the comments I have made. It only proves you are a part of the problem, and not of the cure.
  21. Actually they missed it by a mile, but that is a matter of whose bench you sit behind I guess. The one comment I have heard since the announcement came out was (this is a direct quote heard repeatedly) "I guess they want Mater Dei to win the sectional year". The other one - AND THESE ARE NOT MY WORDS - "At least we don't have to listen to a certain coaches whining all the time now". So you tell me...What REALLY drove this realignment? I agree with whomever posted a while back about how this was all drawn up. Mt Vernon to Castle? Tecumsah to Central? Wood Memorial and Pike Central to Central? With gas $3.50 a gallon I am pretty sure the parents weren't asked if they want to make those trips weekly. I know that is a minor thing, but it is a real concern in todays world. The East West split down 41 makes a heck of a lot more sense to me. North comes to Castle and the Gibson County Schools (Except Wood Memorial, its right above Warrick County) and VL goes to central also. Castle Sectional would make more sense if it were North, Memorial, Bosse, Harrison, Castle, Tec, Boonville, South Spencer, Heritage Hills, Tell City. Central would be: Central, Mater Dei, Reitz, Mt Vernon, North Posey, Gibson Southern, Princeton, VL, Wood Memorial, Pike Central Levels the planning field as much as currently possible, and eliminates the cost to the schools and parents, making it more attractive to the fans BTW. Also keeps some pretty historic rivalries in place. BTW...Which team won the Freshman City Tourney this year? First time ever...including the Team State trips that recently happened...So the pipe is looking more and more full for many programs. The basic difference between you and I is I can see the issue for what it is. Programs ebb and flow. MD is the obvious exception to that but if we are being completely honest, they are not as strong as they were 5 years ago. Would MD's current line up have beaten the teams they had 3 years ago? They will get all butt hurt about that, but it's true. And to be fair Reitz, Castle, and a the other traditional powers are down a few notches too. BUT, and here is the part people will chose to ignore, teams like Central, North, Harrison, and YES Bosse have shown great progress in their own rights. That is meant ONLY as a compliment to their coaches and kids by the way. Outside the conference, Jasper and Heritage Hills have been pretty darned impressive. And here is another one that people will scoff at under their breath...Boonville...Good core of kids on each of those teams. Graduation will hurt them, but that's a part of the ebb and flow of it. Rebuild and go again. So go ahead and think what you want. The facts are right in front of you. Remember, it wasn't all that long ago that certain programs lost year and year out to the same programs. Now it is much tighter, no matter what the pundits and bleacher rats say. This year alone (and warm up the excuse band, here it comes from certain quarters) Jasper AND Central beat Reitz this year? Didn't MD lose a couple of Interstate Duals (and their own tourney for the first time ever)? I am NOT trying to pick at teams or the kids. Just trying to show you the facts behind the point.
  22. Agreed! Imagine looking a the Friday night draw and seeing EITHER of those names with yours!
  23. Since you drag me into your fantasies, I will just say this. If you didn't hear anything then it's a great case of either selective hearing or I attentiveness. The MD fans had quite the chuckle over Reitz bailing, and honestly it was down hill from there. So let me be clear, in the end you have to make your weight put on your gear, put your foot on the red or green and go on the whistle. That's all that really matters. My only concern is that the realignment just flipped the sectionals as far as on the "toughness" scale and may have been better thought out to level to two out and make them BOTH better in the long run. As for what happens in the Semi State based on sectional pairings, once again it's all up to the kids in the 6 minutes they get. In a few years the sectionals will. Realign again anyway.
