  1. No way Gelen gets majored, he only got taken down once soph-senior year and it was in the quarters or semis's his senior year (cant remember) by a kid from Cardinal Ritter. All i know is after that takedown Gelen won state but was still pissed off about the one takedown
  2. Jake Sebahar took 3rd in 2014 and had 11 losses
  3. Region Sports could not broadcast live due to IHSAA doing it, however RSN will be down there doing some things such as highlight packages, live interviews and more, per their executive producer
  4. Jamari Washington, state qualifier at 182 from Hammond Gavit will be on JED this morning at 7:15
  5. Feel the rhythm, Feel the rhyme, Come on y'all its bobsled time!

  7. And he also doesn't use his love for DA REGION or more specifically Calumet as a deciding factor.............or does he All jokes aside it really is quite incredible how accurate they are, nice work as always Mike!
  8. it is new, but Doc's BBQ in Dirty Dyer is pretty dang good IMO, Bombers is DA BOMB though!
  9. looks like I owe you a shaved ice...............I see what you did there

  12. I hope we break that record this year just to shut all those guys from <Pound Sign>HendricksCountySmellsFunny up #regionstrong
  13. My guess is he feels 4 at 106, 120, 145, 170 2 at 126, 138 126 obviously can be anyone based off the depth, but poynter is definitely a contender This is no disrepect, just observatory, but I sure hope Portage can bring home some titles, they have had a tendency in years past struggling at Bankers, they could possibly bring home 4 this year, Washington is really good but lets be honest, B.Lee is in his path to a title
  14. WJOB LIVE on facebook, Im at work so I cant post facebook link
  15. In my opinion, Jesse Mendez will be a lock 3 out of 4 years if not all 4, but obviously Freshman year can have its obstacles (what weight he goes, experience, etc.). Don't get me wrong he has the experience on the national scene and has beaten many high school kids. He is very humble, has a gas tank that doesn't seem to go to E, and I am sure has every intention of setting a goal of being a 4 timer. Put all that together with the coaches and partners he is going to have at CP and that gives you the ingredients to make a recipe for a large pot of whoop ass chili. I am looking forward to seeing him the next 4 years. #Regionstrong
  16. The real question is Crown Point going to have any good food or treats at Regionals? Those luke warm hotdogs are just not cutting it, get the Bulldog admins or parents to whip up something special Cosgrove
  17. Although Merrillville always has there boys peaking for the state tourney series and Griggs is wrestling well, Washington is looking like he did at the Harvest Classic right now, straight dominating fashion. Plus, I think Washington was sick their last meeting, he did not look like himself. I hope that Cruz can make this a closer match, Moran controlled the first two periods than looked to either let up, get lazy or got tired to let Cruz come back in the 3rd. This is why the score was closer. I will say Cruz never gives up, he goes hard all 6 minutes regardless of the score and who he is wrestling, point-regionals final last year
  18. Myself and Nathan Laird Reiser and Chris Ramirez at Hobart
  19. 106-Diaz, Carter, Ponce, Bolin 113-Moreno, Diaz, Nelson, Tolin 120-Kaiser, Bautista, Ruiz, Magiera 126-Kelly, Gomez, Crague, Layman 132-Hollis, Taylor (CP), Ferry, Winland 138-Dembowski,Buford,Johnson,Mohmed 145-Park, Ellis, Hollendoner, Bridgeroom 152-Lamore, Beckman, Verbeek, Sneed 160- Kasch, Lemley, Neff, Hooley 170-Buehler, Bates, Perez, Traficanti (I hope he does, but Ill be suprised if Traf wrestles, his ankle looked bad Saturday in the final) 182-Girgenti, Potosky, Johnson, Sneed 195-Davison, Donovan, Schoonveld, Clemons 220-Simpkins, Jeeninga, Mochen, Tillema 285-Pokorney, Foster, Potts, Garcia
  20. Just looked at LaPorte Sectional and Chesterton sent all 14 with 10 Champs and 4 Runner-Ups. I would say 14 in the finals is a pretty solid day
  21. Bondon at 195 from Portage looking good, if he sets himself up with a regional championship and a good showing at SS I think he could make a run
