  1. d41d8cd98f00b204restler link=topic=26447.msg176910#msg176910 date=1363121133] I think it's pretty disrespectful to Delgado... you got beat fair and square, man up and take your second place medal. I understand the "runner up is the first loser" mentality Iowa has, but to act like you are too good for second place after being dominated for the second time is arrogant and a display of poor sportsmanship toward your opponent. I've read that he has requested for the medal to be returned, so it sounds like he regrets the decision, but a fifth year senior who's been wrestling at such a high level for so long should know better. Delgado has had to stand below McDonough on the podium in the past, and now it's McDonough's turn. Gable didn't pull a stunt like this in public after he lost the final match of his college career. I don't believe Delgado gives a crap what McD does with his award.... Awards are just a reminder of the event and him tossing that medal in the trash doesn't change the beat down Delgado gave him.... Might have been better served to crawl into the trash can himself
  2. Wrestling has always been about pride not the trophy... For some the only trophy they need is having their hand raised
  3. What is the number of schools with wrestling teams in Indiana vs Ohio?
  4. Don't our guys spend enough time on their backs???
  5. This would be a terrible venue..... We wouldn't even need the upper deck and you wouldn't be able to see matches from the 50 yard line let alone the end zone.... And if you have been to many stadiums you would know this one is mediocre at best
  6. I actually would like to see high school adopt the blood time rule of college... No limit on time but official can call the match if it's extremely out of control
  7. Sometimes kids with too much early success fall off when they start going up the levels. I don't know if it's mental like they lose touch with how hard they need to work or maybe they get broken mentally when they get Hame handed some losses and they just are not used to losing. We watched it happen with Alex Tsirtsis and I've seen many more just around home as they are great in little league and fall off or jr high then don't do anything in high school
  8. I also would like to see it the same as college. In four years of varsity I never took blood time and only took injury time once which resulted in my coach injury defaulting for me. I saw guys take injury time to, what looked like, game plan late in the match down a point or two at state
  9. Anyone know if there will be a broadcast for Evansville SS
  10. d41d8cd98f00b204ipleB link=topic=25659.msg170654#msg170654 date=1360163960] we need to make shirts for state and quietly speak in unison.... Hey IHSAA: #WRESTLEBACKS Just bring one by my house tripleB
  11. I like the hype of ticket round but would rather see the best 4 make it out. anytime there is a regional sweep to state there is a strong chance that someone eliminated would have beat the 4th placer
  12. congratulations to Kayla. You are bringing plenty of positive attention to Indiana wrestling and female wrestling. Even breaking the gender barrier to prove you want to be the best. Good luck and keep up the hard work.
