Good luck to All these young men today, as this is what they've all work so hard this season for.....As we all know wrestling is the most demanding yet most self rewarding sport in the ...WORLD...win or lose you have made yourself a better person as you either start another year or get ready for the real world, regardless it has been a pleasure watching you young men put in the hours and to ultimately earn your spot on this stage...now to all the fans, this is the moment WE'VE ALL been waiting for..........NOW GO GET LINED UP FOR THE MOST SPECTACULAR SPORT IN THE WORLD AS THESE 112 wrestlers fight it out to crown 14 CHAMPIONS!!!!

Just wondering who can be magical in round 2.......im going with Perez, big fall last night and nothing to lose, scrappy enough and his style gives others fits......lets hear some other magical fellas that will be going big in round 2!!!!!

Yes hartman was down 4-3 got tossed to his back and stuck with 6 sec left......perez is dangerous!!!!!

Thinking about running a camp starting july 2nd if any coaches or athletes would like to participate...practices will be held @ the ihsaa headquarters from 8am to 3pm.....if were quiet, they wont even know we exist....but if were loud, they'll have no choice but to listen to us!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Correct me if I'm wrong, steve hall from North Newton only had like 6 losses in high school lost in ticket round @ M-ville in 92-93-94-95 was a multipleX iswa champion and world sombo champion!!! I believe that has to rank pretty high if anyone remembers him and could help out with his credentials... -
Although we no longer go to the m-ville semi-state they showed the other 3 why they are still the most dominant wrestling in the state, as one post states may not be from top to bottom, but sure are at the top...congrats to the "Region" on a great showing as all those champs deserved to be CHAMPS....Billy Birge

the fans that fight over saved seats, those are always the best matches....especially when its a big woman that's going to kick the $#!+ out of a skinny guy....and shes screaming who the he** you think you are....ohhh yeah love them matches!!!!! oh you meant wrastlin.....might see some of that also "if your lucky"......

Merrillville semistate prayer

yep we went from driving 2 1/2 hours from frankfort to merrillville to now 2 1/2 hours to New Castle.....so i feel no sympathy for the region to drive 1 1/2 hrs to lafayette...oh, but that would put us back in that semi-state also......Lafayette has my vote then!!!! im for anywhere that will run the Finals like Merrillville does, if you cant then Its a must to leave it there....."only stipulation i have"....the twin lakes sectional finals is better than the New Castle Semi-state finals in glorifying it......but have seen nothing that compares to merrillville until state....just my opinion -
cant get brackets to load, anyone else having this problem???

Im more of a "wake me up when its my turn to get on the mat" type of person.... ;D in all seriousness i believe that strength does help those with less technique for sure, but 9 out of 10 times the kid that stays in the best "POSITION" will ultimately be the winner, because they know how to win the 2-1, 3-2 matches by frustrating the stronger wrestler....just an opinion..... i can honestly say that my brother was a state champ in 98 and was by far the weakest kid in the weight class, and was half the size of his opponent in the final match, but Technique won the match for him....Guess it comes down to wrestling confidence also....

Just wondering how many kids that now have double digit losses,from earlier in the season will make a big impact in the State Tournament and who has been on a big win streak since losing several matches,(if anyone is doing this)....just curious as to who might be "flying under the radar"....

How many champions did the crawfordsville sectional produce @ regionals??? (0) Is this the only Sectional that did this or are there others... just a question, (if so then it has to be considered "The Weakest")... and if you read the post, it said "WITH THE EXCEPTIONS OF southmont"....so before you comment on something ya might want to think that i was paying you guys a compliment in saying that you've beefed up your schedule in recent years....congrats to all 7 of your boys who advanced....they deserved it!!!

Perez FF over Snyder HSE.....7-5 and wasn't as close as score...Perez dominated giving up the escapes and a late takedown!!! Looks like Hugo is on the move, after Snyder beat him pretty bad last week.... i told people that this would happen earlier in the season?....

This could be the weakest Sectionals in the state, i believe last year this sectional only got 14 kids out of the regional and none of them were in the finals...Now i know its not the kids fault, but maybe the coaches ought to be on the AD's about beefing up their schedules and less about the dual and individual records, your performance is always judged by where you finish, not what your records are, so until the teams in this sectional wrestle "stiffer competition" it will be a rough road for them to get out of the North Mont regional with Carmel-HSE-Fishers-Zionsville, teams like this....if i am wrong please list the best teams in your sectional, and who "teams or individuals" they have beaten...keep in mind i did say 14 got out, so this doesn't apply to everyone in that Sectional....Good luck to all wrestlers this weekend, and may the "Best Kid On That Day" win....North and South Montgomery are the exceptions to this sectional, as they have changed their schedules, and everyone else in this sectional will see what it did for them after a couple years.....

Gerald has made tremendous strides since Christmas, but as far as close match with Neibarger "i hope"...Gerald had a great practice partner "Josh Birge" that opened his eyes up for him over Christmas break helping out and since has won 15 straight over some good kids and winning the SAC defeating everyone that beat him earlier in the season, No disrespect, but he will turn some heads!!!
