Making the referees go through some time of physical training. Some cant move around that well and cost wrestlers matches.

Anyone else think they should just ban the first period of HWT maches, and make them wrestle 2 periods? Maybe we can get a little more action because they get to tired pushing each other around for 2 minutes. 95% of HWT matches end up 0-0 anyway.

Kirk Johnson from Perry won semistate at a 152.... 152 was loaded at New Castle last weekend and i didnt even consider his winning. All the talk was about Mullins, Welch, and Ehr. Im assuming Johnson lost to Welch, anyone know the score?

I have been to many different wrestling venues, and there is no better place to watch than New Castle. Pretty much ever seat in the house is good. The only thing that needs to be fixed is those dang basketball hoops. There always blocking the clocks. I sat all the way at the top with a foldout chair and had great view of all the wrestling -
What about the semi-state pick'ems?

Im pretty sure Travis Dale lost in the Finals his Jr year, then lost to Marcus Shrewsbury in Semi-State the following year. Dale was ranked either one or two at the time.

Just cause you take first at regionals doesn't mean you'll get a good draw. Theres always going to be people like kieffer that ruins that. -

if there was 10 seconds left in the match i was probably going to just dive at there legs.... i was normally to tired to set anything up. But at least i attempted something. I see so many kids today that will be down 5 points or less and just dance the last 20 seconds away. Nothing makes me more mad than seeing that

Ive seen juilen wrestle a lot in the past and it seems as long as you stay out of his headlock/cradle your going to win the match... that being said its one tough task to accomplish.

yeah but the match wasnt in question at 215... it would make sense if your doing it for a better chance of winning.... i would think as a coach you would want your wrestler to face the toughest competition he could to be ready for the state tourney.....

I have gotten the privlidge to wrestle under Coach Oneill. He molded me to become a great wrerstler. I was average at bests when i got there as a sophomore, but i think its safe to say that he turned me into someone that had state aspirations. I thank him for all that he did for me.
