From a local guy who is a foodie.

Two words.....FRANKLIN STREET.

Take the free trolley and go there.

Gerst Haus - Authentic German food

Franklin Street Pizza Factory - It's pizza, so it good right?

Chasers Bar and Grill - Owned by a wrestling family and they support local wrestling.  Great food.

Buds - Most unique menu on Franklin Street - awesome food.

Noche - new taco and tequila place, just opened.

Smitty's Italian Steakhouse - Great Pastas, Steaks, and Sammiches.

Other Great Places Downtown but may be packed due to proximity to Ford Center.

If you’re into Mexican and want some good local try el charro on the westside you’ll have time in between the breaks or before you go in it’s very cheap my personal favorite is the piggy burrito has all kinds of different pork cuts inside
