Mat Stat Posted January 21, 2014 Share Posted January 21, 2014 no they dont...i talked to them earlier this season and they didnt have enough interest. kind of a shame as they had a senior named taylor reed that won regionals 2 years ago as a sophmore, was in a stacked weight class last year so he couldnt make it out of regionals, but the kid was real good and he wanted to wrestle his last year but he was like the only one so they couldnt. Thanks, mak. I just looked it up and they only had 5 in Sectional last year (one graduated) and Reed as the only one with a winning record. Too bad he didn't come to EC. LOL speaking of taylor reed, where is david hill from lawrenceburg. the kid was real good as a freshman and beat taylor reed at sectionals. reed come back at regionals to avenge that lost in a rematch in the championships. they both placed over guys like lonneman, o'farrow, tim anderson, mike weber, daniel mcclurg, nick salatin. david hill didnt wrestle last year though. did he move? LOL Maybe someone from L'Burg can enlighten us. Not 100% sure on the type of injury he had (I was thinking neck injury), but it did prevent him from wrestling. Your predictions are pretty good, however, I think some of these could go a different direction depending on seeding. For example, at 126, if Loos is seeded 3rd and Boggs 2nd, they will most likely meet in semi's. I don't look for Boggs to come out on top. Boggs does have the win over Loos but the call that won it for him could go a different way this week and I look for Loos to come out with the win. I also believe that some of your predictions are biased, but I would also be biased if predicting. That's why I am not making predictions. Could put a target on the ones I am sure will be a top the podium. There will be some upsets to your predictions, in my opinion, especially from wrestlers that you have not seen wrestle yet. I believe you will say, "what? um, who's he and where'd he come from?" But that's just my opinion and I hope I am right. I usually don't post, but thought I'd throw this out there. In other news.......... What team takes the title? Personally, I think it will come down to Greensburg and Franklin County. Hopefully, they will meet tomorrow evening, weather depending, and that will give us more insight. I have not seen Greensburg wrestle yet, but have studied who they have wrestled and know what each of their wrestlers have done. Tomorrow evening should be a good meet. I think Greensburg has some good wrestlers at weights that Franklin County has inexperience/young and I think Franklin County has good wrestlers where Greensburg is lacking. bigmak Posted January 22, 2014 Share Posted January 22, 2014 No one made it to state last year. 16 guys made it to Semi-state. Boggs, Oyler, Harnishfeger, and Neisius finished 6th at Semi-state. I have listed the Regional placement and weight class below (in orange) for all semi-state qualifiers. I used bigmak's predictions. to go along with that, i updated my predictions to include the highest placement or level I could find for returning wrestlers.
