maligned Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 I know a few elite guys that take Olympic redshirts have done this (take the Olympic and regular redshirts back-to-back), but what's the thought process behind it? It seems like a guy like Howe would want to finish the university part of his career and focus strictly on his international career for the 3 years leading up to the Olympics. What's the strategy behind taking this year of probably mixed folk/freestyle focus, then another year of folk before becoming full-time freestyle again? Just curious. He'll be back but I think Andrew will be looking to win an NCAA title and resign from competing after that. The body can only take so much especially the way Andrew goes at it.
