MattM
Worth knowing USA Wrestling Cadet age groups are born in 1996-1997. FILA Cadet age groups (for international competition purposes) are born 1995-1997. This allowing some of the younger USA Wrestling Juniors to compete in FILA cadets. lpd096
That's good to note because when I looked over the wrestlers on Trackwrestling I was bewildered at some of the names being Cadets so I knew something was altered or different.
MattM
Very similar to FILA Juniors where some college underclassman are eligible along side the USA Wrestling Junior age wrestlers.
quinnsDAD
Micic and Sliga in finals Tolley going 3/4 and Bernard takes 5th. Some may remember the name Trenton Watson from a few years back, going for 3/4 at 46K. He won Colarado 5a state at 106 this year.
MattM
Sliga is the FILA Cadet National Champion beat Morris (Penn) 1-0 2-0. -- A little help from the ball draw and Sliga defended two close score attempts. Micic takes second place. Lost to Thorn (MN) 3-3 5-0 --Thorn comes from a accomplished family and is returning champ --Micic then wins true second match over Assad (OH) 4-0 5-3 Matches are up at www.themat.tv FILA Cadet Link

rdrodd1
I can see a big future for Tolley in the next couple of years at State....He had a tough nut to crack at Evansville this year as a sophomore. Is there any word on where Sliga is leaning towards his college future? I have been told by my nephew that his CIA coach is a big Michigan fan.....Like that is a secret....LOL...It would be nice to see him up there with Taylor Massa. ccbig
College Freshman Tyler Chapple (formally of Penn H.S.) placed 4th at 63k.g. in Greco in the University Division. The finish earned Chapple a invite to the Olympic training site in Colorado for a 5 day camp and a special tourney to compete for a spot on the USA Greco World Team Trials Team.
