maligned
Congratulations to Coach Tonte and the crew. With 6 state qualifiers coming back, they don't show many signs of slowing down.
Bruschi
Wow! They are really good. Congrats. I would love to see them against some of the top 10 teams in the nation. They don't have any holes in that lineup. Even the match they lost at 120 could have went either way. Tough team, I think they were better than Mishawaka a couple of years ago. MD 03 or 04 against this team would have been fun to watch.

dbo
Sounds like coach Tonte is finally reaping the rewards of his hard work. For those people out there who don't know him... I wouldn't look for this run to end any time soon. Congratulations to everyone at Perry.

So it sounds like for the foreseeable future, when PM is given the IHSAA Team trophy at individual state, the right team will be getting the award. Not a team with "just 3 or 4 studs" that everyone has been so worried about. I could see the runner-up maybe being that tyoe of team, but the champ? I gotta believe that more often than not, the truly best team in the state will win the IHSAA title based on their performance at individual state. gstemv81
1oldwrestler: We'd like to think that the team bagging the coaches trophy would be the best team but not always. The scoring system at individual state is heavily skewed toward the top. For one example, 1 champ = 8 eighth placers. For another example, 14 SQs who don't get past Friday night=zero. If team scoring was carried over from semi-state placers the final team picture would be much more accurate.
dbo
To 1 old wrestler No matter how you try to slice it, this years perry meridian team was one of the best teams Indiana has seen for a long time. They would have won the state championship no matter the format of the tournament. And.. I think next years team should be better. no I didn't go to p.m.
