NoGutsNoGlory
Looks like taking 2nd may turn out to be a good thing for Bass. If he makes it, he would now face Reese in the finals instead of semis.

FurgaSonic
Yeah, should have seen him at school. Talking to him he was first mad @ himself for the lost last week, but the was determined to not let that happen again. He is a very hard worker and looks to have paid off. frigginhurts
Alright let's start it... Horrocks and Adams, what do you think? Semi-final match. Situation: Close match Horrocks goes down in pain with an ankle injury. Clearly he cannot put any weight on it. Third period tied up there is flurry of cautions from both kids. Horrocks had a stall warning and was on top. Horrocks rides Adams most of the period the Adams starts standing up while Horrocks has legs in. A few times he had them in before Adams began the stand up a few after. Every time Adams stands up Horrocks gets hit with stalling. Horrocks ends up behind by 1 and gets a 2 point hearfall. He then gets hit for stalling again (legs in before standing up) to tie it up. On to OT Horrocks controlls two legs below/at the knee Adams hands on the mat. No takedown called. Restarts and Adams gets a TD to win. EPIC match. Long one with lots of blood, injury, table discussion. I'm sure I missed something, those that are here as well please help fill in the gaps. had this situation at Castle regional and bottom man stood up and top man had the legs in...at castle the bottom man got called for stalling when he stood up. FurgaSonic
Yeah that is stalling. When top wrestler puts in legs and bottom wrestler stands up to stop action and not allowing top wrestler to put in legs that is stalling.
GrecoISU
I forgot about that one. That was one I had never seen before. Uhh stalling for standing up? I believe the rule is that it is stalling if you repeatedly create a stalemate situation. It all depends if the legs come in before or after the bottom man begins his standup. In college it's nearly always the bottom man.
dukeboy318
I will say this about th day. The ref horrocks had during the match in question made horrible calls all day, even had to ask other refs what the rules were. I also saw him hand out a ton of coaches warnings for often times no reasons at all. Not sure what his name is but he needs to be re-evaluated before renwing his license. one of the worse refs ive seen all season. Now I gained a lot of respect for Sam Horrocks. He got hurt but wrestle 2 more matches despite barely being able to walk, that takes guts. and to win 3rd on it was amazing even though I was routing against him and for shuler but never the less thats tough. The Riekers looked solid today. Baron had a good rematch with Resch and Zachs come back win was awesome. Steven was the one I was really interested in seeing him up against Kerr. He pretty much dominated it too . Kinda was hoping Emmitt would beat collet again but collet was on a mission today. Over all, I have to say this regional had some of the best and tightest matches Ive seen in a long while. and Jennings County Sectional was very tough against the others for the first time in a while

But from memory, Horrocks did on a couple occasions put his legs in after the kid stood up. And the ref did warn him to stop. Although horrocks should have been given a point for an illegal slam after he was slamed by the kid after the ref had stopped the match
