MattM Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 The reasoning I have heard for several years is that they want to make sure every head coach can be on the mat with their winners bracket wrestlers. ssfan Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 At Mooresville they went 4 Mats first round. 3 Mats second round. 2 Mats Finals/Consolations. I noticed some teams had 3 individuals wrestling at the same time. I noticed this with Center Grove for sure. Mooresville ran this tournament quite well. Blane Culp Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Carroll does not showcase the finals! Seems like every tournament I go to down here wants to showcase the finals, why? Get in, get our wrestling done and maybe we can see some daylight every once in awhile. THE STATE FINALS are what needs to be showcased. That is our goal. I would much rather watch the 1st/2nd place match along with the 3rd/4th place match any day than watch one round and then the other. Those guys are moving on to the same place the weekend after.
