HoosierHero?
Snatch..... are you serious??? Have you seen Chalfant... It would take a semi to catch him on his back and hold him there long enough for a pin!!!
PurdueWrestling
I saw some really great wrestling yesterday. South adams is lookin TOUGH this year! and congrats to chalfant for dominating and getting the most valuable wrestler award.
SnatchSingle
Wow a close one. Yorktown probably would have blown the comp. away. Winchester had only one champion in Adam Chalfant. I knew he would win, but I was just picking an upset thinking Chalfant may come in over confident. Good showing by Union City, except...what happened to Cole Sells?? Why are Wes-Del and Monroe Central still in this tourney?? Scoring below 80 points is just un called for. Come on Jay County...get some good teams at this tourney so it becomes the OLD ECIC...right now it is a cake walk.
AJ
Yes, Yorktown would have dominated thid tournament, so it is probably a good thing they are no longer in the tournament. As for it being a cake walk, the fiels look pretty even. 10 different schools had a champion and the top 3 teams were seperated by only 16 points. The competition may not be the toughest, but it does seem to be pretty even, which makes for an exciting tournament. More than just Wes-Del and Monroe Central scored below 80 points! SnatchSingle
Yorktown made that tourney better. There need to be more teams like Yorktown in the ECIC. Bellmont?, Richmond?, Tri?, Muncie South?, New Castle?, Zionsville? Marion?, Anderson?, Union County?..... There are plenty of options...something NEEDS to be DONE!!! SnatchSingle
Why are people afraid to talk about improving the ECIC? I tell you what is going to happen if it doesn't improve...the FANS will not show up...teams like South Adams, Bluffton, Winchester, Southern Wells will pick up and go somewhere else to a more challenging and better tourney!! I think this is a SERIOUS topic if the fans, coaches, and AD want the ECIC to continue.
Short Jay
Snatch This topic was addressed at the coaches meeting the day of the tournament. The tournament director and I are already looking at trying to improve the tournament.
