  1. In the Large School (3A) tournament you are allowed 2 wrestlers from outside of your school district.
  2. Avon and EMD are tough! We are proud of our guys for going up against these top notch programs and holding our own. We are just trying to be #JayCounty since we can't be #TheCounty.
  3. Look at some of the large brackets and how many matches a kid has to wrestle if he lost in the first round and can wrestle all the way back to true 2nd.
  4. Er’body Odell. Odell lost a lot of weight.
  5. Odell calls this the Wayne County Classic, I think?
  6. Gaven Hare wrestled 195 as a freshman, 220 as a sophomore and junior and now 220 as a senior as well so I’m confused. He hasn’t really gained any significant weight over the last 3 years.
  7. Hare Odell? Odell Hare? I’m not sure who you’re talking about?
  8. What Hare kid are you talking about?
  9. Northeastern Dual Results 1. Jay County 2. Northeastern 3. Delta 4. New Castle
  10. I posted our results from our duals and I also posted final results from Rochester. It would be nice if other hosts posted their results as well.

  12. We would like to thank all of the teams for coming and all of the parents for getting their kids there. We hope you all come back next year! 14. Just guessing the often misused words. Definitely, dominant instead of dominate, loss rather than lose and the incorrect spelling of spladle.
  15. If you read this part with an Axel Foley "not going to fall for the banana in the tailpipe" voice when he was making fun of the other fella. It's really funny. I'm not sure how many will actually get this. Here is a link to the scene of reference. Excuse a bit of "language". banana in the tailpipe
  16. I would say for the very reason you state. They want you to register for their tournament. If they show their list then you may not choose to go there. If they don't show it you might go ahead and register. I have never ran a tournament or made that decision but I'm guessing that is why.
  17. Here is one of the things that made me change my mind to support class wrestling a few years ago. Yes, initially it will be much easier for a small school wrestler that is overall an average wrestler to qualify, place or even win state in a classed system. As those things become a more real possibility for these wrestlers, don't you think that competition for that state championship would increase? As it becomes more possible for kids to chase that championship, more kids start working harder for it, increasing the level of wrestling at small schools.
  18. That is a great explanation. I appreciate the time you took to type that up. Is there a better reason other than it's the way IHSAA does it so we're not going to?
  19. Why are we not using the Tournament Success Factor in classification for our IHSWCA Team State? Just curious. This is from an IHSAA.org a. In team sports, schools shall be subject to reclassification at the conclusion of a reclassification period on a sport-by-sport basis dependent on the school’s tournament series success during the previous reclassification period. b. A school shall earn the assigned point values for the final level of the tournament series the school achieves during the previous reclassification period as follows: (1.) Sectional championship – 1 point (2.) Regional championship – 2 points (3.) Semi-State championship – 3 points (4.) State championship – 4 points c. If a school in any enrollment class achieves a tournament series success point value of six (6) points or greater in a specific sport during the previous reclassification period, such school shall move up to the next available higher enrollment class for the next reclassification period.
