  1. Well since having a tad bit of success at hs level has nothing to do with what I posted, I appreciate you jumping on guard and defending yourself although I never mentioned any certain program.
  2. I didn't recall stating what team I was referring to..Seems your panties are a bit tight Fabio. LOL.. I don't agree with it and that's my opinion.
  3. Happy to see (following track) 2 great fine young men got to be wild cards and get some great quality matches. Unfortunate that they were used in place of of their own club kids. But whatever it takes I guess. Austin
  4. I know that alot of our younger kids that have been grinding on Folkstyle tram and individual since beginning of November are ready for a change with Freestyle and Greco. I coach and my son wrestles.. He was kinda hesitate to wrestle Folkstyle state, cause he was burnt. He did compete and was happy he didn't miss it.. but crazy excited for next month or 2.. Folkstyle is great.. it's wrestling what isn't great about it? But change is good especially with the youth.
  5. Last yr I just showed a picture of my son and he was good for weigh ins.. I couldn't get him off xbox. Lol
  6. I have to say the tournament ran without a hitch.. great competition and my kids got better because. That's what it is all bout.. Kudos to the ISWA squad and Franklin folks making it a seemless day of great wrestling.. Can't wait for next yr. Austin Perry Meridian
  7. I was in attendance and noticed the somewhat frequent inhaler breaks to get his asthma under control.. I too have asthma and it does suck, but fortunately my wife is a respiratory therapist and she made a few educated comments on how often some kids use a rescue (albuterol) type inhalers.. from her 15 yrs experience she believed it was excessive and thought some of the kids over using needed to be on a more steroidal type asthmatic inhaler.. Flovent, Advair etc... triggers for asthma are various and hopefully kids can rely on a long term med. To control he "triggers".. should use it prior to competition and it should last the duration.. just my educated opinion from an educated observer.. my wife. Great job by both young men!
  8. I can't help but get even more fired up for this weekend at Bankers Life. With not scoring Friday night towards team points, wrestlebacks not happening, and the IOC considering dropping wrestling for 2020..etc etc. which is all crap IMO. But the kids grueling it out this weekend have worked their asses off to get under the lights and get what every wrestler wants. The title of state champ! Hope the crowd is packed supporting not just young men battling, but the sport in general. Good luck to all competitors this weekend and keep marching towards your goals.
  9. Any updates for the finals would great!
  10. I would rather be associated with passionate coaches or as you put it "renegades" that are not willing to stand by idle waiting to stroke the IHSAA on a 5yr plan. Its the IHSAA not willing to be fair or listen..
  11. Lets not forget what this thread was about!! I NEED A DISNEY DUALS TEAM--The boys need a team to wrestle on.. Not even a week after Individuals and these young men can't get enough!! AWESOME~ Pretty sure the teams that go from Indiana have that moratorium thing worked out just fine..
  12. I agree.. The 30 miles doesn't benefit alot smaller schools like most are assuming. The geographies that are more populated with schools.. ie..Avon, CG, PM, and Warren for example are all 30 miles from each other. I know these clubs are entered to compete, but they have kids from Roncalli, Greenwood, New Pal, Fishers, Zionsville, Westfield, Mooresville... I could go on and on but hopefully I have stated my point.. Does Lawerenceburg, Gladiator, Duneland, Jay county for example have the same 30 mile pot to pick from? Not sure but highly unlikely.. I like the base of the idea but who is it benefiting.. ,
  13. Sourcing kids to fill holes is one thing (from neighboring schools), but in most cases that won't be the situation..Most likely to happen, An existing kid that has busted his butt, trying to learn this great sport will be sidelined due to a tougher kid coming in from another team just so the TEAM can be competitive. Wrestle with what you got... This isn't fantasy footbal that has free agency and the waiver wire. If you have to fill weight classes, go to the next geographically located club that chooses not to compete in Elem Team State, and fill from there. If they do not have that weight you move to the next closest club. Will the ISWA have the map of Indiana and the 30 mile radius marks around every school competing?
  14. I too was able to make it..Dingo/Littlejohn-sure do appreciate the play by play.. Good looking out for everyone not able to make it.
  15. 189 looks weak? It may not be stacked with a bunch of ranked kids, but these kids have made to regionals and have wrestled hard thus far.Let me guess... your boy would walk through all of them? LOL!!
  16. Couldn't say one bad thing about Sam. A mature teenager with motivation to work to his utmost potential. Also, his parents have done such a fine job with not only him but his other brothers as well.. Keep up the great work Sam "The Tornado" Tasseff.. Coach Elliott
  17. Coach Thornton~ Wish you well in a speedy recovery. Austin
  18. Same here, but I get audio.. Its just messages from the sponsors.
  19. Damn... Anyone have luck with the broadcast ?
  20. It doesn't matter who wins the next "showdown".. It matters who will win the last!!
  21. Asics International Lytes.. Just went searching the internet a bit on some and the cheapest and only pair was used for 225.00
