  1. Delta may be in contention for that from back in the late 70's early 80's BTW Hated to have to say that)
  2. Going to praise a couple of kids from the Terre Haute North developmental team. Tyler Summers and Conor Dwyer finished 7-3 for copper medals. Tyler Gilmore and Austen Laughlin both went 9-1 for silvers and Duane Deerwester and Thomas Dull went perfect 10-0 for the gold. Thomas Dull also secured 10 pins in his 10 wins finishing second overall in most pins/least amount of time with 10 pins in 22:23. Kids had a great time and got some great mat time in.
  3. Looking for a mat let me know if you have one for sale
  4. Disney Duals this year. Takes out a lot of the studs that might compete!
  5. Looking for a home mat for our son to use in the off season. If you have something available please let me know! Thanks and have a great weekend!
  6. My son has wrestled for 9 years now and his freshman season this season was the first time he had cut weight. I never let him (save for one year to lose 2 pounds to wrestle state at the weight that he wrestled all year). I spent my entire wrestling career cutting weight and I didn't want him to do that. I also think it gives kids very bad habits because most don't do it correctly. Just my 2 cents, but is there really a need for it before high school? Why hurt kids growth patterns by not letting them feed the machine and let it grow naturally! 2 pounds in the grander scheme of things is not going to make a difference in the grander scheme of things.
  7. I'm looking for a home mat too. Would be willing to take what you cut if you decide to do it. Might take a bigger piece if you want to cut different. Let me know!

  11. I understand that you are trying to have fun with this and so accept it for that. I also believe you understand what I am saying. With that said I think we all know that of all the sports offered to high school students, wrestling is the best to prepare our young men and women who participate in the sport for the real life experiences that they will face in the future. As parents, coaches and fans we are helping prepare young athletes to become more productive members of society.
  12. LOL glad you're in my face, but the sports that the kids play are played to teach life lessons to kids so that they are prepared for the decisions that they have to make in real life.
  13. Okay I know I'll catch some stuff here, but sit back and think about this for a minute. When these kids grow up and are in real life situations how often do they get a wrestle back? If they are in sales and go on a sales call, do they get a wrestle back if they blow their presentation? If they work on a factory floor and make a bad run of product does the company get a wrestle back when they are sued because their product hurt people? If a doctor or a nurse kills a patient by giving them a medicine they are allergic to do they get a wrestle back to bring that patient back to life? If a soldier calls in the wrong coordinates for an airstrike that kills not only themselves, but also takes the lives of his squad, do they get a wrestle back so that no one is dead in the end? These could all be an example of a small mistake made with huge consequences, I know these examples are extreme, but this sport teaches kids how to not only compete, but how to live life, to compete in life and how to succeed. Losses and failure are lessons in life that we all need. That make us better people by learning through these failures. If we take those lessons away from kids we make a weaker next generation.
  14. Wondering about this as Ray's knee looked like there was no problem. Moved just as well as early in the season. No brace, tape or even a knee sleeve. Any idea what the actual injury was?
  15. Don't you know throwers aren't real wrestlers (push the sarcasm button here) they only catch wins!!
  16. Just out of curiosity I see the HM in the rankings, do you have those listed anywhere?

The ginger giant is a solid pick, but watched Streck in Daytona and was very impressed. He is everything he is advertised to be and more.
