  1. i know all about Adams Central. I have actually met coach Currie. He's a great dude and the program is great. I guess I was just busting chops. Just kinda figured that your guy was not being cool.
  2. Ok.. ok... we get it Avon sucks. I guess Danville sucks too. Is that what you want to hear? Me personally would like to congratulate Logan Boe on one heck of a run. I would also like to congratulate Avon for having 4 state placers (two sophomores and a freshman). Last time I checked... four state placers is a great thing. Huge congratulations to Gunnar Larson on a great career and EARNING the mental attitude award. He is a great leader and will do something great with the rest of his life. Thank you to the IHSAA from realizing this also. Last but not least... great season by the Bulldogs. They won everything! The always seem to be having fun and are all great kids. With all of that said... Adams Central had a great season (wherever that school is). You should be proud of your kids. That zero points scored is very strong. I assure you that we will take your criticism to heart and get better. Thanks for your multiple post knocking our kids...... gesh! #TheCounty
  3. That would be Sam Rioux of Avon. He is currently the fourth Rioux brother but not the youngest (another in the oven). Sam is a pre school Tulsa all-American. Needless to say... the 106 spot at Avon will be held by a Rioux for well over a decade!!! Ha
  4. The Iranians get in a stance with their legs way back (almost impossible to get to them), then dig the under hooks. As soon as our guys would get out of position they would throw it by for two, or drop behind a leg and shelf it. Our wizzer defense from there was worthless. They rarely took a shot, but we were on the clock the majority of the time. Tough to watch.
  5. May want to check out the Avon warm ups during the parade. May be the most "Electric" in the history of the state tourney. #MostElectricOfAllTime
  6. Green was hosed! Clearly the aggressor in the final period. We should have won the dual.
  7. Huge bump for Castle! Seems as if they will make it. Bumps Roncalli to a vote in spot. Could the South Side of Indy fill the field as the two vote ins???
  8. Well both teams from #TheCounty did place higher than your squad at team state and semi state. But... that may or may not be a fluke. Your are right. We do need to win.. I agree.
  9. Ok Ok.... everybody other than #TheCounty sucks!!! The rankings guy sucks for picking against my son and being right! Wrestling is life... let's all fight at the pub this weekend! Is that better Mike?
  10. So what?... the guy is proud, get over it. Chris does pump #TheCounty and is annoying to many of people on here...but... he doesn't get nasty, point out short comings of programs, or say negative stuff. It's all in fun (no matter how you take it). Mater Dei is awesome and #TheCounty hasn't done crap. There you go. Are we all cool now?
  11. To add to that... the population of Marion County is 900,000 and Hendricks County is 145,000. But like Joe says.... size doesn't matter... work harder!
  12. #TheCountyTMZ is reporting that Hector is in fact a two time world champ and a 10 time wing eating champ. Just had to move to the region and change his identity, after completing several life saving missions for the CIA. He is now the foremost authority on youth wrestling in Indiana. The worlds most interesting man?...... perhaps!
  13. Over the last 10 years I have been the iswa folkstyle developmental director, iswa kids director, middle school national team leader / coach, schoolboy national team team leader, and elementary national team team leader / coach. I will say that the list that Hector Mendez has put together in the youth forum is spot on. Any of the kids on his list could qualify with the right draws and if they were at least 106. Here is the link to that thread. http://indianamat.com/index.php/topic/51482-whos-the-best-middle-school-wrestlers-in-indiana/
  14. no disrespect... but again.... how many schools feed into this program? I believe the rule is that all kids must currently attend the same school (has always been that way in the past). Unless a concrete set of rules is set... then you may as well scrap the team championship. Again, no disrespect meant here. Just seems to be a pain.
  15. I agree with Hector. Chesterton should be the champs. Who cares what team they sign up as. Bottom line these kids all go to the same school and should be recognized as the best in Indiana. These results may affect who gets into team state next year. That's a ton of incoming talent.
  16. Typically the team that brings the most kids wins team. Tonte did a great job at Perry of bringing a ton of kids, and now seems to be doing the same at Warren (and they all sign up under the school name). It will be hard for any team to beat that. Some kids sign up under academy's and not schools. Which is fine in my eyes. One year they changed it to only one kid from each weight class could score points for a team. Each place was given a point value. That year Avon North took 6 kids and had a few champs. They ran away with the title. The next year they went back to the current scoring. Avon North had 4 champs that year and didn't come close to winning. What Warren did is awesome. They really only had 13 kids. Other teams had many more. A solid team bringing double digit kids will always be tough to beat.
  17. No way can you leave Perry out. Doesn't seem like anyone on the outside can catch Roncalli for the last automatic spot. That leaves one spot. Who gets it? Harrison, castle, Chesterton, Center Grove or crown point?
  18. Big props the Clayton Peters. The big guys was at New Castle for 15 hours just to pin his way through the tournament in about one minute total on the mat. Wow
  19. So it looks like everyone from Hobart down are eliminated. Is that a correct statement? Also... Perry will be getting more points for Fair's injury. Also... will Center Grove get points for Littel being out? Sorry... it's a legit question!
  20. We have 6 high schools. Avon, Brownsburg, Cascade, Danville, Plainfield, and Tri-West. 3 good sized schools and 3 small schools. I think that wrestling is the thing to do here. All schools have youth clubs. Our high school coaches have seen the light. Once we recognize that a kid has talent we encourage them to attend an academy. This gives the kids a place to train 7 days a week. Red Coba is in Avon and Contenders is in Plainfield. Some of the best kids in the state travel far to come here and bang. The residents reap the benefits. So.. there are no major cities here, but we offer great clubs and two great academies. Also.. outlaw, Indy pride, and CIA are within a half hour or so. You also have club, academy, and high school coaches that are at every youth tournament, and travel the country with the national teams. And the steroids in the chicken nuggets and milk!
  21. #TheCounty with 7 in the finals. Schoeff Allen Mckivitz Reynolds Ison Parker Peters Don't be surprised if Conley wrestles back for 2nd.
  22. Avon has three in finals. Jaden Reynolds is an Avon kid too. Mckivitz and Peters also go to the same school as Reynolds. #TheCounty has 7 in the finals. Like Garcia says... it's coming. I know that people are sick about hearing about it, but for one county to go from average to where we are in a handful of years is pretty good.
  23. I don't know... not trying to argue.. I was just sitting right there and saw it. Sorry pal
