    Petrov

Petrov was the most impressive wrestler this weekend, in my opinion. He was absolutely vicious!
  2. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. I actually encourage that. But Tebowing is different. Not a big fan of how the media sensationalizes everything he does, I feel sorry for the guy.
  3. You're correct. I was also watching TV when I was watching the matches online. The announcer saying she was up 3-2 after a reversal threw me off. Regardless, she stood toe to toe with him and is going to bring it.
  4. I'm just hoping nobody "Tebows".......
  5. Haha. That thought crossed my mind. . The little guy in that video Bernies very, very hard.
  6. Hate to hear news like this. What an unfortunate way to end an excellent high school career. Best of luck to Cody and I'm hoping for a speedy and full recovery!
  7. If you don't like when a wrestler celebrates after winning a state title, please don't leave negative comments in this topic. Don't wanna hear it. I personally love the celebrations when these kids complete a dream of theirs. My question is, what celebrations do you love or expect to see this year? Sandefur's break-dance is celebration legend. And the wrestler doing a body dive into their coach is a classic. I'm hoping to see somebody do the Bernie on Saturday night!
  8. The Steer Inn was on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. They featured their meatball sandwich and meatloaf. I plan on making a trip to try it out.
  9. I'm taking Micic in this matchup. I haven't seen Boston wrestle this year, but I've seen Micic. And he looks as impressive as it gets in this weight class. He has dramatically improved since an impressive freshman year. Not saying he's not a hard worker because I'm sure he is, but I can't imagine Boston has improved as much as Micic has. I'm gonna go with the reverse score from last year: 5-3 Micic.
  10. One of my favorite matches ever was Williams-Salas. I've never seen anybody eat a cross face like Salas did in OT. That man was determined!!
  11. Off the top of my head I think the #1s that aren't going to win are: Boston Mckinley Willis Kral Suder They all very well could win, but I'm not taking them in my bracket. And I really think Sliga is going to have some problems with Berry.
  12. I think there is a ton more pressure on the Garret kid. He's "supposed" to win. Miracle has already made history and most people probably think she's already done enough. She's gonna come out and wrestle hard. She was very impressive at semi state. Had 3rd period leads on Davis and Garza.
  13. That is a tough deal for both of them! Looks like Miracle got the most favorable draw. Nothing against the Garret kid, but it would be incredible to see her win.

  15. Same here. Hoping they come out before I have to go to work!
  16. The same thoughts were going through my head yesterday! I only got to watch online, but he looked really big for a 138. He was very impressive. Jackson better not go down to Indy feeling entitled to something, because Griffin is no slouch.
  17. I agree that the 220 (215) weight class has been weaker, as a whole, the last couple of years. For instance, last year a returning 160 pounder won the title at 215. Nothing against him, he is a great wrestler, but going up that much in weight and winning a title is damn near unheard of. That being said, I still think the 220s at Mville are as tough as they get this year. All of the top 3s losses had only been to the other 220s in that semi state. And I don't see how you can argue with Kral being ranked #1 all year. He's the highest returning placer, coming in 3rd last year.
  18. After today there doesn't appear to be a favorite at 220. Kral beat Robinson again then loses to Gallegos. Knura loses to Bass. Then the guys from FW. This weight is going to be the most unpredictable.
  19. She advances to state with a 10-0 win in the ticket round! She's looking tough!
  20. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/more/02/06/girl.wrestling.champ.ap/ She was 45-4 with 33 pins. Good luck to Kayla and getting through that meat grinder in Mville!
  21. I was really impressed with her last year. Sounds like she's only getting better. There was a girl in Alaska a couple of years ago who won a state title at 103 I believe.
  22. Surely you meant "rings".
  23. Congratulations Laquan! Laquan is a kid with a good head and his shoulders and one hell of a work ethic. Good luck at the next level!
  24. I think all of those names are copyrighted by WNBA teams.....Hopefully won't have to worry about that much longer anyways haha
