  1. Danvilles Braden Montgomery, Kid puts in his time and works his tail off and has a couple decent workout partners.....
  2. I know some Novices last year had a conflict with Junior High schedules conflicting with State. I see it is two days this year, are the Novices wrestling on Sunday? Thanks for any input...
  3. Chris announced retirement yesterday. I read that he plans to retire after his bout tonight with Hardy. A warrior since I first met him back in the Southport days. Great career Chris. Classy guy. Chris stated that he wants home with his 4 kids more.
  4. Marks a good dude, he has been through a lot. Get well buddy. Hub
  5. Im surprised no one has mentioned Molloy, he has a great chance of doing well out there.
  6. If they give molloy one (instead of the five they gave initially), then why not the turns??? Wow, looks like they missed something. Tough call. ??? Again, was there something else that happened the video doesnt show? confused...
  7. I loved it, he just won one of the toughest tourneys there is next to olympics. Dudes got a right to do whatever!
  8. Like I said earlier, nice to hear its back to two days next year, definently for the novice boys who have to make a tough choice between state or junior high. I dont think that the mat space will be an issue, or that there will be a major issue at all, but if there is a crowding issue tomorrow, it will be the number of spectaters, parking, matside type stuff. But of course, none of us would ever miss it!
  9. Agreed, ISWA does an excellent job. Gonna be some awesome matches tomorrow, cant wait.
  10. Infolady, thanks so much for the clerification. I didnt know the ISWA had no or little say in the matter. I am very glad to learn that next year it will be two days. I know of several wrestlers that cannot participate, for they have school events. We want our boys (Novice) to be able to represent their schools and wrestle in individual state. With this in mind, I sure hope the keep the Novices on Sunday. I know this news of going back to two days will make some happy! ;D
  11. Agreed, ISWA definently have it down pat. Im just thinking its so tough on a split schedule, let alone all in one day. Furthermore, it was nice for the Novice wrestlers that wrestle for their Junior High, to have an oppurtunity to do both the State (Sunday before), and the tournaments they may have that weekend for their school, some have county and conference. I hope it goes nice and smooth Sat, but food for thought for next year.
  12. I didnt suggest any amenities, maybe pepsi col, hinkle? but even with those, Id think you would still need two days, the only amenities I suggested was for grandparents and small children be comfortable.
  13. Im sorry ISWA, I think we can find a better place to hold the largest tournament of the year. You pretty much know your gonna creap up to 1000 wrestlers every year, and no high school is a comfortable place for the ISWA supporters to watch and wrestle in. Its nuts every year, I tell grandparents and small siblings just to stay home because they cannot navigate this tourney, elbow to elbow madness. Wrestling, Great. Refs, Great. BD folks, Great. Venue, impossible.
  14. Those guys are crazy up in the Region arent they?
  15. Thats funny, I got on here tonight to mention the same thing about coach Tonte. I had the honor of coach Tonte tearing me up in the room at B.D. back in the day, I walk in to Beech Grove with our club, and there is Tonte and Schottle doing their thing after a day like yesterday. Gotta love the passion. Props to Perry Coaches hub
  16. Dont know about a special edition, but a regular season girls basketball game over wrestling state finals on the Sports cover...???
  17. Can the Star recognize wrestling a little. State finals on the last page...cmon ???
  18. If you work your ass off all year, cant you wear whatever you want too? cmon, get over it.
  19. I love offense, so Id have to go with Molloy, scored between 50 and 60 pts at state, loved it.
  20. One sided all tourney long, I think Molloy scored about 60 pts in 4 matches! Awesome job, if you like offense watch this one.
  21. Any good chances for a first state champ at a High School?
  22. my only advice is do some research and find a club that runs all year. You may have to drive a little bit, its a commitment, but well worth it.
