Great semi state, but holy crap is 113 stacked in this semi state.  All 8 guys are awesome.  There is 26 ISWA(FK, FS, & GR) titles between these 9th and 10th graders.  Majority of them have been battling in the same brackets with each other for many years.

182 is loaded as well...5 top 10 ranked guys in the state.. and that doesn't include returning SQ moore... last year ws my first year at a semi state not called new castle and I was amazed at how good it was and comparable to NC SS... great venue and event..113 is stupid stacked though.

  2. I was there at NC ss his freshman year.. he put on a show and never let his losses before affect him... This is a story that future athletes to come should All look into.. it also goes for kids that are undefeated going into tourney time to never overlook a guy based on his record or you'll end up looking at the lights if you aren't careful.

I think the forum was about who the undefeated wrestlers are at this point in the season, not whether or not they should or shouldn’t be seeded wherever. Hard to say a kid who is undefeated shouldn’t be the number one seed. Thankfully seeds don’t mean squat, and that’s why we wrestle. Good luck to anyone who gets to compete tomorrow. Be safe.

bingo... the kid can only beat who they put in front of him.

I bet Ragle will have a loss after this weekend.  He shouldn’t  be the number 1 seed.

regardless the thread was about undefeated kids not an adult cutting a great young man down... And let's say he is undefeated afterwards are you gonna apologize?  oh that's right I wouldn't expect somebody that hates on a kid to actually have tact.

    No, he’s a freshman

ic what you're saying now...I thought you had to have to have at least qualified for regionals the year prior.. clay whitney of monrovia got second at sectionals last year and didn't wrestle regionals for some reason.. but he ended up beating undefeated ranked Nix at mooresville and I realized whitney wasn't even in the data base so idk the basis of what gets a kid into the data base.

Just curious why wins over Brody Bauman are being considered as significant wins at 113.  I know he a very good wrestler has a lot of credentials, etc. but just seems weird that a win over a junior varsity wrestler is considered significant.

did he wrestle varsity last year and make regionals?

  7. @182 Trizton carson 19-0...85 td and no offensive points scored on him.. all pins and 1 major...98 career wins and hopefully will break 100 at sagamore conference with a potential showdown with 23-3 McCloud of north mont... He's wrestling like a top 3 placer and is finally healthy..

If the coach had him weigh-in with the 182's then I don't believe you can go 170 even though you are that light.  If you weigh-in with the 170's then you can wrestling at 170 or 182.  But I don't know what the weigh-in circumstance was.

    thank you sir!

For some strange reason the ref told Jarod Clayton who weighed in at like 168 he couldn't go 170 he had to go 182. Once we had someone report who was deemed not allowed we had to forfeit. Lets just say the officiating left something to be desired!!

wow...I don't even know what to say.
