I'm not sure but didn't Jermain Brooks (Northrop) destroy everybody at state his Senior year (1991) when he won it ? I think all 4 were pins ?

He looked dominate last year at 103 , but who has he faced this year at the 119 class ? So he is that enigma that we'll see how he does come state tournament (sectional,regionals,etc.).

"CRY BABIES , GET OVER IT ! " Someone is a little offensive ! Personally I don't care who is ranked where ! What counts is state ! That's when we find out who truly is the best ! My post was just my opinion ! Everybody sees it different . The point I was pointing out is why are some people trying to add Fargo credentials to Indiana high school wrestling ? I would rate Harper two , but that's me ! Big deal ! I'm not gonna put others down for their opinions !

I'm sure I got a boo coming for this one ! At nationals don't it depend on the draw ! Cook got 5th , Spencer 7th ! Did they both have common opponents ? Did they both lose to the same guy or did one beat the guy who beat the other ? I see this arguement and it makes no sense to me ! Yes it's great to place at fargo , but what does that have to do with this season in Indiana high school wrestling ? Harper 3x champ ! Yet he don't have high credentials at nationals ! Yet is a monster here at high school wrestling in Indiana ! As for Porras ! A great wrestler , but he looked like he was struggling with Cashe at Al Smith tourney ! Spencer was there with Cashe throughout the match not once but twice ! So I can see why Spencer gets the nod over Porras ! Not sure about over Harper though ! Harper lost to Cashe by one point and lost to Cook ! That's just my take on this 130 debate !

I just want to say your doing a great job ! You doing it without being biased ! I may not agree totally with some of the rankings , But in all honesty I couldn't do better nor would I want the job ! Keep up the good work !

I agree , but if Cook chooses top , watchout ! Spencer will really need to work on being the bottom guy this week in practice that cradle is tight and vicious ! I say Spencer wins, but it should be a very entertaining match !

I've thought about this one ! I'm not big into games, but you have NCAA football,basketball,etc. Why isn't there a NCAA wrestling game ? It sounds logical that it can be done and there are fans who would buy it or rent it . The only problem would be how would you tell who you have? Since it's against the rules to put names on the game and wrestlers have no numbers on jerseys.Still I also thought about this concept.

I have to agree ! I think Yorktown is gonna win this one in a barnburner ! Bellmont is usually a givin when it comes to team state ! But this year I believe they will have their hands full with this Yorktown team ! There is gonna be some upsets ! This one will definately be the dual to see from around my area !

I have to agree ! There is alot of tough regionals in the state but I think Laportes slightly edges the others !

I think all sports in Indiana should be one class ! To truly find out who the best is ! I agree with some of the comments ! Football there is 5 state champions ? who is the best ? We won't know this cause it's classed ! Same as with basketball ! But what makes wrestling great is we know who the best is cause it isn't classed ! I hear all these arguments about big schools !Big deal ! How many state championships has Mater Dai won ? And they are small ! That's my take and I'm sure I'll get a boo out of my comment ! I've been been against classing any of Indianas sports not just wrestling !

Gerber dec. Schendel 6-4 ot ! sounds like a good match ! Gerber is one of those I thought was a good wrestler who had a bad draw (March) at semi-state !

Come on man!! Get a clue! WOW ! Harper is unbeatable ( the cashe match was a fluke ) - sarcasm ! Hey if that's what the guy thinks about Spencer no problem ! Everybody has their picks and favorites ! I don't know if I could make that bold of a statement ! But everybody has a right to an opinion.
