  1. Love to see a solid "get it" guy on the board....
  2. she kidnapped herself, dude. You said so yourself.
  3. please do yourself a favor and go rent, nay purchase a copy of The Big Lebowski. You won't regret it.
  4. Yes, it is definitely more important.
  5. Ding! Post of the week. Wahoo for you, my friend. It was probably hard for Andy to keep up his stamina after he smoked all that pot in the library.....
  6. True. I think that much is obvious. That does not mean burn-out doesn't happen.
  7. I disagree because I think that a kid can want to achieve at the highest level, but get to the point that he thinks it isn't worth all of the sacrifices he's been called upon (by whomever is doing the calling) to make. That is what I consider burn-out.
  8. Actually, a tournament can be beneficial for the weaker guys as well. Let's them know that, say 6th place still scores points and can still help the team in the overall.
  9. sounds like bait for a thread hijack....
  10. Vision Quest is a terrible movie. The lead character isn't even likable.
  11. Not enough people quote this movie. Wahoo for you, my friend.
  12. And I am officially happy about my policy of reading threads before I vote on polls....ha
  13. If a proposal like that can't gain momentum, we don't stand a chance.
  14. There aren't very many states with classed team and unclassed individual, are there?
  15. Great post; I say, imagine what might happen if fans of a few more schools had the opportunity to experience the same thing that you did in both the individual and the team aspects. Oh my, how the sport could grow.
  16. I think that is why the criteria need to be black and white. Base everything on numbers and then there is never a question of consistency.
  17. Don't mean to butt in, but it was mostly him taking a look at wrestling 112 against quality competition to see if he wanted to wrestle there for the state series. Didn't feel any more comfortable there than at 119, so 119 was fine for him.
  18. Reread it and now I see that is not what you are saying. I feel better now.
  19. Please, PLEASE tell me you are not referencing B. South as a small school. Saying this because that is the way the end of this post reads.
  20. Just because we have a problem deciding exactly where to draw the line, should we just not draw one at all? Looking at it based on percentage comparisons, a school with 350 students competing against one with 1200 more students is making a 343% jump. One with 1750 versus 1200 more is making a 70% jump. I think there is room in there somewhere for a line.
