  1. It is going down next Thursday, March 3rd - 6pm-7:30pm. Enter Door 15 at BHS. Get some elite technique and then lots of live. Don’t waste the off-season! It is time to catch and pass your future competition! Technique coming from Hayden Watson: 3X State Placer STATE CHAMPION this year Committed to Citadel Snyder
  2. I got forwarded an email from a friend I used to coach with. He emailed Mr. Faulkens to express concerns about 2 sessions, assigned seating, two parade of champions, warmups before weighins, etc. Personally, I hate dividing my team and coaches...it is a logistical nightmare to figure out what to do with everyone and how to get them where they need to be with 2 sessions. Mt friend was told that we are doing this because it is what the coaches and wrestlers wanted. Did I miss a survey or meeting? I can't find a single coach that likes the new format. Am i missing something?
  3. I will just add you have to consider what the regional is feeding into when determining the best regional. Crown Point is ridiculously good...I mean it is stupid...however, i am pretty confident what the Mooresville Regional feeds into is much more difficult than what any other Regional feeds in to. Route doesn't matter. Figure it out and win....all that being said, can anyone seriously say a wrestler coming out of Mooresville and feeding into Evansville overall doesn't have a significantly more difficult route?
  4. I’ll just add this to show his character. When we got in the back tunnel, we hugged. Told him I loved him and was sorry it ended that way. His response: “Coach, I’m really sorry. I know the team needed my points today and next weekend”. Was tough for me to hold it together to be honest.
  5. Do you really think so highly of yourself that you think you “trigger” me? Dude you crack my entire team, staff, and I up. They were laughing today trying to remember all the teams you listed a while back that would eat something of our for “years to come”. When I hear BS, I call it out. That’s all I do with you. Is the dad you are referring to the only one not being a “man” and building his own program?…or does that include your program where all wrestlers and parents are transferring? Are those dads not being a “man” too and not being “loyal”to the school system they live in? Just trying to see if it applies to all families or just the guy you pointed out from Brownsburg? I honestly don’t care about a response but will call BS when I hear it. Snyder
  6. Is the same Cathedral guy talking about transfers again?!?! Something doesn’t add up. I love this dude. Someone told me his name before, but I completely forgot. Our guys find you hilarious. I remember a few years ago you listed a half a dozen teams that would eat something of ours for years to come. The funny thing is you didn’t mention Crown Point who is the only team to beat us this year. Please talk about how Crown Point is going to kill us. I feel like it gives us a better chance to beat them based off of your previous predictions….and I say that because this dude is always talking about Brownsburg. Almost like he’s obsessed with us. Nothing but love for our red Dogs up North. Snyder
  7. One our middle schools has an older heavy mat. It’s in okay shape. It is free, but whoever takes it is responsible for picking it up. We are open to anyone who wants it but hopeful it can go to a program in need. Contact me if interested.
  8. Just want to be clear because I had a few coaching friends reach out to me. I did NOT intend my post to mean the straps down call cost us the meet. All I was trying to say was it was the right call. Crown Point also lost a team point. We were celebrating and I wasn’t watching. I was told whatever was called didn’t happen the way it was interpreted. Brownsburg and Crown Point have a great relationship. I hate them some because of how good they are but have nothing but love and respect for them. Our wrestlers and coaches are really close. They won the dual because they EARNED it. Also, Mendez should focus on his college career and skip the rest of the season. I just want what is best for him! Snyder
  9. Congrats to Crown Point. Also, congrats to Indiana wrestling. I’m proud that years ago we came together and made this event happen. What a day of wrestling. Huge shot out to Zeke Seltzer for bumping up to take on Mendez. That alone made the entire event worthwhile. Lastly, it sucks but we did take our strap down and that’s a team point. It was the correct call. Snyder
  10. I would be very careful and concerned with this idea. My experience of football coaches is they want their football players running track in the spring. I’ve seen it time and time again. Snyder
  11. I just wanted to add I could not be more thankful and appreciative of my staff. I have incredible administrative support so we have several coaches in the building and at middle schools. Several of my assistants have been offered multiple head coaching jobs, but have stayed with us. So thankful to have them. My coaches who aren’t teachers are freaking incredible. They are literally losing several thousands of dollars to not run their business or cut their hours to coach wrestling. Often they will work in a 12 hour work day to allow them to be at future practice and/or a tournament. Snyder
  12. Street is not wrestling. Has nothing to do with football. His college coaches actually encouraged him to wrestle, which we greatly appreciated. We just couldn’t get him to come out. Very disappointing, but something we all deal with. Snyder
  13. After we beat Davidson last week, a friend of mine from Lowell, MI was like “You guys are going to kill everyone in Indiana”. I immediately said something like Indiana teams are no joke this year. Wait until you see Crown Point’s team next Saturday. He called me last night on his way home from Crown Point. He asked when dual state was and said he wanted to come watch the dual between us and Crown Point. I told him you still haven’t seen the teams from Mater Dei or Center Grove, etc. He couldn’t believe anyone could be competitive with Brownsburg or Crown Point. I again told him Indiana wrestling is reaching a different level. I talked to Hawkins last night about the potential dual. First thing is we both know we have to get there. It won’t be an easy task. All that being said, the Purple and Red Dogs have a great relationship. We hope to both make the finals at dual state and put on a show for the ages. Snyder
  14. I’ll just say that my staff and I - especially Mike Morgan - were very, very curious whether Davison would participate this Saturday at Crown Point. It was the main topic of conversation on the way home from Michigan. All that being said, this is going to be an incredible tournament. Thank you to Crown Point for giving Indiana a national level tournament within our state rules. We are committed this year and as long as I’m the head coach here. We have Brecksville, OH after crown point. I asked our guys today, “ Who made your schedule so hard?!?!” Lol Snyder
  15. One of Brownsburg's goals every year is to win dual state. We will either be the best team there or we won't. If we don't win, we could not possibly care less if we get 2nd or 8th. It makes no difference. One of the years we won, we were the 4 seed...another year, we won we were absolutely roasted on here for being an "overrated" 2 seed. Think the other two years we have won we were the 1 seed. I never once got on here and complained when we were seeded 4th or the year we were 2nd. Everyone that qualified has a chance to win. We see Crown Point among some other pretty decent teams this weekend. Is our goal to win this weekend? Yes, why wouldn't it be? Crown Point is freaking loaded just like Mater Dei. We aren't guaranteeing anything. Look at the freaking dudes going that tournament Saturday. We are going to show up and wrestle as hard as we can to win the tournament, but we understand how good a lot of those other teams are. We make a couple mistakes and Coach Ayersman will have a 3rd place plaque or whatever to use to make a new award. Snyder
  16. Davison, Michigan- ranked 8th in the country - isn’t a top ranked team. I think you did mean to “take something away” from Brownsburg. We are still riding back from representing Indiana in Michigan. We got a good chuckle out of it. Nothing but respect for Mater Dei. They have taken us out two years in a row at dual state. Davison, however, is a pretty solid high school wrestling team. Snyder
  17. Huge win last night for Delta and Cody Lecount! Congrats on knocking off #3 Jay County. Proud of you man! Snyder
  18. Kevin, Nothing can explain the grief the Brownsburg Wrestling Family feels for all of you. I have no words. You know I have nothing but love for you. Do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do. Snyder
  19. Brecksville, Ohio is by far the toughest regular season tournament I’ve ever taken a team to. It’s nasty. We are going back this year.
  20. Brownsburg is thrilled to announce that Mike Morgan will be joining our staff. Mike has a very credentialed and successful coaching career. He has been a part of 3 IHSAA State Championship teams and an IHSWCA State Championship team. This year as acting Head Coach at Warren Central he guided the team to a 2nd place finish at Dual State, a top 10 finish at IHSAA State, and a runner-up finish at the Disney Duals. We could not be more excited to welcome him to the Brownsburg Wrestling Family! Snyder

  22. We are back at it again this Thursday, April 8th from 6PM-7:30PM! Enter Door 15 at Brownsburg High School. Our clinician this week will be: Alex Cottey 2X State Champion 2X State Runner-up Fargo All-American Committed to Tennessee-Chattanooga
  23. Great room last night. Just over 40 bangers there! We had Brownsburg, Avon, Putnams, Cascade, Floyd Central, Marian U, and U of Indy represented. Next week - March 18th - our clinician will be: Blake Mulkey 3X State Placer 4th at NAIA Nationals this year for Marian University! We are off Thursday March 25th and April 1st due to Spring Break. After next week, we will start back up Thursday, April 8th. Couple pictures of the room last night...
