Paul Young saw something in Harvey and now has him at the NCAA's !! Great job both guys.

I REALLY doubt IU is at the top of anyone's dream job . 1-31 in the B1G the last 4 years (with little change in sight ) is hardly a magnet for top names . I say give the job to DeGain and Powless and bring Young back from Army -find a lightweight coach and let these guys outwork everyone else.

Didn't IU also bring in a 133 from Iowa ? QA shame to have Murphy leave the program yet nothing new there . Kids are just cutting too much weight at IU. -
LeBlanc should be at 174-Walsh is comfortable at 157 and Kieffer could make some noise at 165 if he could break the line up. He CUT way too much to make 149 last year.

Hinkle has a team of over achieving hard nosed good solid kids !! I wish eppert could have that big breakout win and make the podium this year or next ! The LN connection is working !

I'd heard Wright was having grade problems at Cathedral(thus his return to WC) according to a couple of coaches who recruited Brandon his father may have been a problem -not my words as I only know his dad was a hellacious wrestler. Duca and Zimmer are just going to have to step up . -

125-Zimmer 133-Ortega 141-Niemann 149-Warren 157-Kinser 165 -Young 174-LeBlanc 184 -Cameron 197 -Powless HWT-Shrek (alcala) Ortega , the 141 might not be on the team as he got his girlfriend pregnant-Fagiano may have quit .Who knows where Wright is ? Kevin Kriss ,Tanner Kriss' dad ,says Tanner beat Powless -
Hey Drooke , I don't know what's up . Had an e-mail from Hinkle stating he was rsing Cashe then TOM comes out with Cashe ranked 7th and said they specifically asked if Cashe were RSing -I sent them a copy of the e-mail so either Eppert or fields are having problems . WHERE is WRIGHT ?? Not on IU's roster .

Where did Samuels go ?? -a 3x state champion just leaves IU ? I thought Cooper would break the line up at 174 next year with Perry graduating . Also-any updates to the line up situation ?

I heard Malone fell victim to grades and Grymes -the LN kid ?-is at 184 -Vate and Monaco should battle all season for 141 -with the depth in the big 10 at 41 I hope they can put a coupla W's up. if Kinser could not make it last year how will he this year ? Young is in the deepest weight I've sen in a long time -he is ranked 8th in the big 10 and 15th in the nation .Earl @Div 1 has #2-Schlattner 3,Howe 4,M*,5then Sponsellor ,Vallimont and Poltz will be coming in off RS -Manuel moves up to 174 -Paul will be OK. Perry is at #7 due to his rd of 12 finish and I was wondering if Powless or Cameron was at 184 with Fagiano back from Hofstra ? So IU lost 3 of their freshman class ? Cook,Ramos and Malone ?Cook was the heir apparent and will be missed at hwt . Kriss is a nice addition .-but I was wondering how Fagiano can bounce between schools like that ? I remember back in the day having trouble getting credits to transfer from IUPUI to Bloomington and Fagiano can go to the CAA and back w/out repercussions ?

Yo Dingo-I look for Max Ortega to take 141 -JensenS is talking about how Drake is the greatest freshman ever at Cornell and he beat Max 5-2 at Sr. Nationals . Is Alex Warren the 49 pounder -Kinser couldn't make it last year and is rated 11th by Earl . Does anyone know if Angel is healthy ?? Does anyone know if Fagiano will be at 97 and Powless at 84 ?With Cameron and Coughlin on the bench ??

Strange meet -everyone's studs are in different classes save 141 and I like Russell in that one -125 ??maybe Triggas -133 Hump 141 Russell 149 Palmer 157 -???Johnstone 165 Colt 174 Luke 184 Biondo will give Pucillo a match for a while then BOOM 197 Todd hwt -Morrison -bonus points and the ??? matches will decide it -Cody went into the tank quickly . -
I really hope angel's shoulder holds up -they won't get shut out against Iowa as Kinser will beat the Iowa 157 lber -Young has a chance against M* if he gets the first takedown but watching M* is like watching water turn to ice .Boring .Andrew beat him on 7 seconds difference in Riding time earlier this year -the match was so heated Gable came out of the stands -so you had Davis, Brands and Gable yelling at the ref and scorekeeper -3 wrestling hall of famers -wonder how the ref felt ? I hate riding time -we as a nation will never be truly competitive until we change some college rules -Everyone should fill out that form Coop is sending out . My statement above applies predominately to riding time -every other nation in the world wrestles freestyle and we wrestle catch as catch can -why award bonus points for 'riding' when there is no such thing as riding in freestyle ?

App State's 174 lber -Trotman got hurt back at the Reno tournament -he was 14-3 and wrestling well with wins over several top 20 opponents . Hopefully he'll make it back by NCAA's or rather by the SoCon tournament .

For 2 consecutive matches the IU coaches have had their wrestlers take neutral in the 3rd while trailing -this makes no sense to me -Against Michigan Kinser took neural and got the td but had to cut the guy and take him down again only to lose on RT -young was behind 1-0 to Manuel when he chose neutral-Young had wrestled 2 periods w/out scoring and was down 1 why not take down -escape and then it's tied and you don;t have to do something stupid to get a td -if you haven't taken him down in 5:50 seconds why start neutral ? Paul had to try some lousy shot and lost 3-0 . Powless is doing amazing things for an overweight 174 lber -Brown was ranked 15th in the nation.

You can ask the moderator of this board if I defend IU wrestling or not -you really think Monaco won't be the 141 lber ? I was thinking he or Capezio but Viterisi is tough -Walpole doesn't look like he can hold 49 next year -I mean weight wise -Konz may have to take over -as for Dre -141 in the big 10 is a tough place to get better -his head just seems screwed up -I'd love to see Andre wrestling like he did his freshman and sophomore years -I know Ortega beat Lang for the national high school Jr title -it would be nice for some Indiana kids to do well-Dolly is doing well at UNI and andre could win the big 10 and Ian Hinton got a big win last week .

I have written to the IU dept . spokesperson and they give out no info-DeGain was a good heavy -don't know the man -but why are Andre and Matt -2 former AA's -literally a joke in our fantasy league ? I drafted both Andre and Matt -I thought Andre was a sure AA as he wouldn't have to make the cut to 33 -our last conversation you told me Pelton left to go live with his parents -he is at Notre Dame College -an NAIA school and has one loss -you can go to flo video and watch him stick Redman from Purdue -the person above stated I couldn't put a line up together -I know Powless would have been at 84 and Kuhn at 97 -Steadmen is the worse 197 in the big 10 and the PSU kid at 84 was 6-6 -Powless beats him and Kuhn beats Steadman and IU wins -I know why Angel didn't have the surgery and I disagree with it -I just had to have my shoulder replaced because I didn't deal with the injury in a timely manner -Angel will be in his early 20's next Olympics-he should have had the surgery -came back at 100% and then worried about the Olympics in 4 years - Will these problems work themselves out next year ? Will they have to wrestle Ortega's brother -a true freshman at 41 ? Where does Coughlin fit in ? who is at 84 ? I have been defending IU wrestling on college boards for years and it gets a little lonely -where are all of you ?

33 and 57 are the toughest weight divisions this year without doubt -you want to see a pretty but illegal throw watch Hump 's throw against Ruggerllo-on Flo Wrestling -look under 'Sunday Brunch''-it comes at 8:10-, you might want to mute the sound as the announcers are a little hard on the ears .

I walked on to IU my freshman year but was on an academic ride and didn't have time for all the prep that goes into wrestling in the big 10-that was a long time ago-Joe D was the BEST high school sr. in the nation as was Angel-I also coached for along time and I know going into a dual like this you put your best against their best -put Powless at 184 -where he belongs and I guarantee you he does not get turned 5 times -then wrestle Kuhn against Steadman -the 9th ranked 197 in the big 10-and IU wins -Goldman was a champion at 198 or 190 -whatever the weight was back in the day -but he is also the only 4 time finalist to win just once . Konz beats Ramos ? Who cares -Ramos is all hype -I'd trade Konz and Ramos for that freshman who went to Purdue -how do you explain Andre's last 2 years -last year they said he cut too much -this year he is too small for 141 ? As for Coughlin -AA as a freshman -then 2 and barbeque -this year he won't wrestle another match . How do YOU explain him losing to Harper College or EMU or a true freshman 149 lber -Schuster fron Kent State ? Shuster wrestled up a weight and beat Matt at the CSU open . And Harper is a community college -I am in a fantasy wrestling league and picked Coughlin as my super sleeper -I wish he'd wake up . 16-7 -oh , by the way ,Matt was the #1 ranked 160 lber coming out of Mater dei-in the nation .

Yup -beat him and then placed 8th in Vegas at 197 -Goldman just threw him to the wolves -Powless wins at 184 and Kuhn could have beat Steadman at 197 . Powless should probably be a 174 -84 at most -but who knows what goes on down there .

If you won't say it I will -Goldman sucks -Degain is a joke and Mena can work only with small guys -i have heard that the super freshman -Ramos- has asked to leave -Minton left -and when was the last time you ever heard of a senior leaving his senior year -Max Dean -Goldman recently reached 20 wins -how many were against ranked foes ? They roll into National duals unbetaten and go 2-0-then tie a Penn State team who had a hurt 49 lber , a reserve 141 wrestling 57 and Vallimont wrestled up a class and they tie ? Esco should have had the surgery -he won't AA this year -IU has 3 wrestlers who have any heart or desire left -Kinser ,Young ,and Powless -Powless should be a 74 lber -it is almost funny -he kicks Fagiano off the team and makes Everhart go heavy -Now they have an overweight 174 -listed as an 84 as the starting 197 -Everhart tries but 50-60 pounds a match is too much-Cameron embarassed himself -getting turned by a 6-6 kid 5 times with the same move . I hope IU loses every match , then maybe they'll realize that after 13 years there will be no ''rebuilding''. Only more of the same -have the AD schedule a bunch of 3rd rate schools then go 2-6 or 3-5 at best in the big 10.

No-Both men you speak of have gotten worse every year at IU-does that say something about them mor the program ? Matt AA's his freshman year -then 2 and out -this year he was beaten by Kinder and really shouldn't have wrestled a match -Andre AA'd his soph year then was 20-12 last year and this year just sucks -Coughlin lost to an NAIA kid -and Andre just sucks -that kid Goldman chased off last year after he stomped on Kelly at wrestle offs is at Notre Dame College -an NAIA school but against Purdue he stuck Redman the guy who won the Purdue match for them .I hope Kinser and Young wise up and transfer -especially Kurt -13-2 with a championship at MSU open and 7th at Kliff keen in Vegas -but he has spent most of his time on the bench -I'd like to see them at CMU next year -same with Powless -does anyone remember the IU wrestle off when he beat Cameron -now he has won a dozen or so matches at 97 and could probably make 74 .

Puckett was at Franklin Central most of his career -they were both going to win that year anyway .
