  1. Eville 145 Richard and Zeke have gone back and forth 152 Petti beat Weiss
  2. Are you talking about the Bull's intro music (Sirius-The Alan Parsons Project) or another song?
  3. WOW...how do you already have your picks made? The brackets have been out for just over 24 hours. LOL Im still doing my homework on some of these guys! You are fast and efficient my friend. I envy you.
  4. What was your favorite finals match? I vote for Johns over Raley. He looked in control the whole time. The score may seem close, but for 4+ minutes Johns was cruising! Honorable mention: 145 Richard over Zeke 189 Indian Creek over Avon in SV 215 Brownsburg over Robison...bcuz it was the only fall
  5. I would go 240, but yes I would add one more weight class. It would eliminate the 100 criterias officials have to go through to break a tie. Dual meet is tied, only criteria needed . . . who won more matches?
  6. I think IU is doing ok. They have a few IN born and bred on the squad. Angel, Andre, Walpole, Kelly, Kinser, Young, Powless, including a few that arent varsity....Viterisi, Samuels, Coughlin, and Alex Warren. Needless to say they have some of Indiana's best in the line up and wating in the wings. They beat Purdue recently like 21-12 also, so ther edge goes to IU in my book.
  7. Thats why this sport is not decided "on paper". "On any given day......."
  8. What about Kieffer vs Raley rd 1? Kieffer beat Johns who beat Raley.......One of these STUDS is odd man out! naco, Guess you have Atwood, returning state placer who beat Wedding last year, placing 5th? Tough cookies for Atwood & Duckworth
  9. Mr. Heckman, I thought you guys did the best with what you had to work with. The decision to stay on 4 mats is what kept us close to on schedule. Like you said, I don't know what else could be done to speed it up. We all just have to understand if we take 4 from regionals, this is the way SS has to be. And YES refs & table help deserve their potty breaks! Great tournament Tom!
  10. My notes on the day.... 103 Boomsma looks strong. Kuhn looked tentative, wish he could steady out some bcuz we've seen better from him 112 Tough for Brown and Girz. I had Colon winning, so another suprise their. 119 Johns looked SOLID over Raley. Hope is draw works out bcuz he could do some damage 125 Did not see this one coming. I had Van Horn and Martin stole the show, congrats to him (peaking at the right time) 130/135 Richeys- What can you say. They looked tough. Dehaven had a hard road there. 2 tough matches b4 the final. 140 Simms takes it but coasted late. Wish he could revitalize some MD magic and hit one more takedown to "seal" it. 145 Zeke starts strong but gave up late points in the 1st that came back to haunt him. Preston is tough on top though!! 152 Stein the "baby-faced killer" gets it done once again. Weiss/Petti match was a bit sketchy @ the end 160 Runyan- billy bad a$$ 171 Wedding mowed down Mappes convincingly and beat the field on one leg 189 Stevens in a looooong overtime match. I went and got dip-n-dots and they were still at it ... 215 HOLY COW! Robison ran into a buzz-saw. I'd like to saw he got caught, but I dont know. Pin early for Brownsburg kid 285 White looked solid over a monster of a man in Gill, then got some help when Richey beat Clark late. But White gets a 9-0 major and looked great in-front of a few diehards. Overall a good day. Officiating was PAR. The day was waayy tooo loong, but I like the format.
  11. Oddsmaker, 1- I think you mean Casino "Aztar"...and just a heads up, don't ever waste your time going back. They have the worst odds IN THE WORLD and I'm being serious. 2- I TOTALLY agree with your phone book statement. You can also look up Goebels, Schaefers, Boots, Unfrieds, and well that list goes on and on. Point is MD's recruiting comes from the DEEP WEST-SIDE CATHOLIC ways of building a dynasty (no birth control) lol Sorry if that crossed the line a bit. But its the truth wrestling fans. For example, Jane and John are MD grads. Jane played volleyball and ran track, while John played football and wrestled. They meet, date, then mate, but not just once. They have a few and they all return to MD and the cycle continues. MD families seem to always breed 3-6 deep, and rightfully so- GOOD GENES! So MD will be back and you can take that to the bank.
  12. -----> Please no wrestling gods! lol But if Merrillville is thrown in here I'll go with Roberts Stadium. Lucas Oil would be sweet though. That would have to be it due to location.
  13. Y2...WOOSAH man lol Maybe he (like me) has problems accessing the brackets. For some odd reason my comp is rejecting my Adobe stuff, so I have to go to other computers to get the brackets. When I'm at home, I'm out of luck if I wanna look at them. (Thank God for my work comp!!) But I don't think that was meant to be personal.
  14. Agreed....there is NO WAY to seed the thing (look at the BCS)...don't think that was a personal attack at Mishawaka Fabio, so WOOSAH man.
  15. Being Southern bias, I think they are some gentlemen from the other 3 regionals that are not happy that they drew into the Castle Regional. Of the 3, I think Castle is the deepest and will fair the best overall on Satruday.
  16. I am not this hunter guy nor am I a hunter, sorry chief. I am a local fan just adding my 2 cents. And nothing is too extreme........besides maybe Randy "The Macho Man" Savage...."SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM OOOHH YEEEAAAAA!!!"
  17. PS- I cant believe the CASTLE fans in NEWBURGH let this thread be unedited. I know BlueBolt let the poster know that Castle is NOT in Evansville, but he never changed it. LOL I roll my eyes everytime I pass over it as I scroll the board. Those kind of fans are the ones on Saturdays yelling "Hold'eem down Jimmy", "Grab at leg", or my all-time favorite "Coach we gotta take top so we can put HOLDS on him!" ha ha ha ;D (hope you can smell my sarcasm)
  18. WM Coach, I think it best you let little bro do the talking. By "helping him out" on the board, you are putting a nice big BULLS-EYE on his back. "Be the hunter, not the hunted!" White learned that the hard way Saturday. Be careful of making the same mistake. He who laughs last, laughs the hardest......
  19. Jasper... Frankie Medvescek, Jim Ledbetter, David Nicholson, Tim Alcorn
  20. Holding a grudge does not mean one can't admit when someone else is better. It means there are people who get annoyed by certain screen-names assuming there is no wrestling outside of their area. Yes I understand its a discussion board and thats what we do here. But sometimes there are a few who could stand to get their head out of the clouds from time to time. Just an opinion......
  21. brickyard, WAHOO for that video....excellent IN wrestling! ditto on the Powless arm drag!!
  22. This is an age old debate that surfaces every year and usually ends a bit "touchy". 1- Insert your bias 2- The on of the remaining two you don't hate 3- The end of the state you hate because of certain ppl who live on this board to talk their area up. ( LOL can you tell I hold a bit of a grudge?!)
