  1. If the headlock goes to anyone, it would be Robert Miller of Lawrence North. I've never seen anyone with one better. And I've been around Indiana wrestling since 1983. I know Cook from PM has a nasty cradle, two others come to mind also. Brian Johnson (BG) & Hugh Waddington (LN). Spence Spencer (LN) used to have a nasty one also. His duck under was mean also. Lance Ellis's (Cath) over hook throw, if you didn't go to your back. Your face would become one with mat. Case Hooper (LN) had the meanest front quarter. Very few will remember this one, but Andre Tedder (LC) might of had one of the best spladles ever. Toby Turner (Monrovia) had legs that would break you in half. Deron Phillips (SB LaSalle???) had a duck under into a near side cradle that was pretty sweet. Cashe`s (LN)head smashing. Andy Trevino (Calumet) had an awesome double leg, as did Todd Sackksteder (Franklin County). Kelvin Jackson's (AH) unbelieveable speed. I could go all day.
  2. How 'bout LN's 1989 team (state runner-ups) 103 - Frank Ingalls 112 - Brandon Ingalls 119 - Jason Smith 125 - Chris Young 130 - Heath Waddington 135 - Spence Spencer 160 - Jason Stewart
  3. 1992 - 135lbs. Royce Deckard II(LN) beating Elpers(EMD) Deckard beat all seniors, he wsa 4th in his semi-state, he beat 2 undefeated wrestlers & the other 2 only had 1 loss. 189lbs. Derrick Robinson(LN) beating Damon Hummel(???) 1990 - I agree on the Rob Pavletic also. He had a mean cross-face cradle also. He came out of nowhere. Marc Foreman(MunSo) I'm sure I've missed a whole bunch more. Just off the top of my head.
  4. I second the Terence Randolph from BD. He would have hurt ol' Cameron. I know both of them, grew up wrestling with them. Cameron was great, but ol' knuckle head Terence was a beast. Nod goes to Randolph.
  5. So what's going on???? Has it started yet?
  6. Way to go Reece!!!! Keep it up!! We are all rooting for ya here in Naptown!!!!
  7. Lets' get that right Bratton. Kieffer pinned himself against Fisher. Kieffer had him on his back in a tilt when he stuck himself. He was winning the match handily before that happened. So you should say that Keffier upset himself, but it does go down as a Fisher win.
  8. Let me know if you find a 1990 & 1992 tape of the finals?
  9. Saturday morning is the toughest I think.
  10. Hawkins over Nelson Kieffer over Johns Quiroga over Harper Tirstis ??? over Wright And I'm sure there's plenty more than that!
  11. Aren't you leaving out Andy Trevino from Calumet. He had one of the meanest doouble legs I have ever seen. I always thought Stacey Sullivan was a tough little bugger back in the day. Also had Dwone Williams from Gary Wirt. Both 103lbers. Jeff Jorge from Munster runner-up '91. I'm sure there's more!
  12. I would have to agree with tangaray.....Dwone Williams from Gary Wirt. Beat Matt Hickey from Roncalli in the finals '89.
  13. I second Fabian Chavez from Penn. He beat MMA fighter Chris Lytle in the semi-finals his senior year.
  14. 1986 - State Finals 126lbs. - Hugh Waddington (LN) beating Brian Johnson (Beechgrove). Royce Deckards first HS State Champ. Johnson had beat Waddington 3X's that year. He beat 3 undefeated wrestlers that year @ the state tournament. Another that comes to mind is Jacob Blackwell (Roncali) vs. Cooper Samuels (Floyd Central) in the semi's last year at state.
  15. All nice, but I still want to see a LN all-time team. They had some awesome teams in the early eighties, the ninities, & ealry 2000's. They churned out quite a few state champs since the school opened in '78.
  16. Royce Deckard always comes to my mind! No matter where he goes, he makes state champs!!!
  17. Someone do a Cathedral & a Lawrence North????
  18. You just need to stop with this class wrestling nonsense. I would be angry if I wrestled at a small school & didn't get the chance to wrestle the best. Nothing is wrong with the way it is! Leave it alone!!!!!!
  19. Lawrence North Muncie South Franklin Comm. Pike Ben Davis Roncalli Should be a good day of wrestling!!!!
  20. Colon is a class act. He was very sportsmanlike after Kieffer handled him. How 'bout them Roncalli Rebels....beat Columbus North & Carmel. Not bad for a little Catholic school. Lafyette Jeff had a couple of tough guys also. We'll see how they fare this weekend....a lot of good early matches this weekend. Can't wait for the fun to start.
