    It takes a special guy to be a head coach the amount of paperwork and work off the mats alone is daunting if you're not a teacher it's damn near impossible. That being said confidence in your system to build or maintain a program is key come in and keep kids wrestling in the offseason put the time in to keep kids out when other programs are losing them. Do that it doesn't matter who you follow whether it's a legend or a dud you can make success happen...Look at Snyder as an example

    Always complainers....no....if Dad got a new job and has to move he is more than allowed to move with him.... Haha I have absolutely no desire to be a head coach anywhere

    Im speculating here....but Warren Central is a top football program not only in IN but Nationally as well. Tristan is a big time football player as well as a wrestler. If he has aspirations to play football in college why not play where the best play to showcase your talents. Congrats to Coach Tonte and WC. I am sure they will be a nail in all of our sides .

    People can take it just fine. People are just peeved about the State Qualification/ Waiver fiasco. They should handle it by offering to all top 8 placers before it gets opened up. If it makes it that far everyone has had a fair shake at it.

    Nope my kids followed the rules...you got to reap the benefits without the sacrifices. You are saying that it is fair they got to participate even though they didn't follow the same rules as everyone else and had to make similar sacrifices. Not there fault the ISWA screwed up. I think the rule is dumb but i still followed it. much like the 300 mi travel rule and the 1.5% rule. They are bad rules and some are never followed but I do follow them as they are the rules dumb or not.

    His approach was to state that rules were not followed...this waiver thing came about on the last day of registration. How is calling that out immoral and wrong?

    Sickening that this kind of thing can happen to a great competitor. Stay strong buddy the whole wrestling community is behind you and know that you will pull through this.

    I am all for a complete selection process for the Duals teams. If you win a state Title (I mean a REAL State Title) odds are you are good enough to be on the team. We have been beaten like ragdolls in the past few years. If we want to stay competitive it needs to be done that way.

    What Y2 Said Brownsburg COULD host it but it would limit growth and I am sure that the 1a teams who have to wrestle in our Wrestling room would not enjoy themselves. Not to mention Seating and Facility concerns. We would make a killing but is that really better for the sport/event? I agree the Pepsi Colluseum is the best centrally located venue. Our next goal should be ways to raise funds be it sponsorship, fundraisers, etc. I know I would be willing to do a Men of IndianaMat Calander with Y2, Triple B, TSkin, OntheRise, and other board celebrities.

    Unless you see this The RWO and the Nick Wiesjahn Intercontinental Championship Open Challenge will still be popping at 6 on Thursday.

    I would say a kids from schools like Oak Hill, Adams Central, Knightstown, Centerville, Delphi, Triton, might put more time in to wrestling if they had a better chance to represent their school at the State tournament. Logic being they would spend more time with wrestling, get better, thus we would increase in talent. It's easier to convince a kid to stay out if he was a semi state qualifier than if he losing in the sectional. As opposed to your suggested scenario that if we class kids don't have to work as hard to win, and thus our overall talent would decrease.

    So you are saying kids will not work as hard in a classed system?

    Awesome news for Clay! Adam is a Monster and former MWA Beast Master. I remember watching him beat up on Hinton and his battles with Jimmy Schultz. Clay definitely will not lose any steps. Great hire! And a congratulations to Coach Hartman on an illustrious career.

    3 Hoosier Crossroads Conference Schools invited...shows how tough of a conference that is.

    Yup that's what all the Ohio, pa, Illinois and other multitude of states with class wrestling think same thing I don't see how NCAA champs feel good about their title considering there are 5

    1. it will be 10+ years until current administration is different. 2. It will be an either folkstyle or freestyle. You won't get both. 3. most reasonable request but wont happen.
