  2. The problem that I have ran into is the official just wont explain his view or reasoning for a certain call. At the end of the day or match or call it is the officials view point that is final. My only problem is when I ask or question a call many dont take the time to explain or give understanding. An I always try to approach in a manner not to say you made the wrong call but how and why did you make that call. At folkstyle state my son was on the the bad end of a couple calls neither would have changed the end result. At the end of the day their are many parents whom coach their children and alot of times would just like to understand the call. For the money and time spent on our children in this sport it would be nice if Refs especially at kids state should if at all possible take the time to educate....and expalin if needed their vantage point for a call.

  10. I think this person needs to get back to 103 to be apart of this list. very nice line up but unless you are basing Pat Pickell's wgt off what he weighs now he was only a 145lbr in 1992 as a Senior and a very talented one in deed....but not talented enought to knock baker out of his spot as top 45lbr for yorktown.....
  11. How did it end up tonight besides 112 I already heard about that and as for me posting this on Monday I am a planner.. ;D

  14. I have wrestled and coached for 20 years and I have 2 sons, one which is 10 and has wrestled since he was 5, the another is 9 and has played basketball the past 2 years but he first wrestled the biggest thing I can say is dont push. My 10 yr old loves it didnt have real success in the bigger touraments until just a couple years ago but kept working hard to get better and just loves the sport everything about it. My 9 yr old placed 7th in the state as a 4 year old and was hard to beat but never really took to it, just did it because dad and his big brother did it when he told me he didnt want to do it anymore I said fine and still enjoys going to watch and support his brother just enjoys shooting a jumper with time running out better. Simply stated make it theirs not yours and let them find their way, but by all means nudge dont push them in the direction you feel would be good for them. And if they do wrestle always smile win or loss, they will decide to attempt to be great or do something else.....

    ECIC

Zionsville is no longer attending ECIC dropped out 2 yrs ago...They go to Corydon and have a invite right around same time now...
  21. Just a side not, if Holt was wrestling at 152 for Pendleton Hts on Saturday at New Castle he lost to Brogden as well. I know Baker went 4-1 lossing to Brogden, and Brogden went 4-1 lossing to Jennings. Which probably means Holt went 4-1 lossing to Brogden and beating Jennings dont believe he got to wrestle Baker, which leaves us with Jennings 3-2 losses to Holt, and Baker. Not that any of that matters, just added info... your doing a great job
  22. Tyler Baker went 4-1at 152, his lost was to Drew Brogden of Zionsville in Overtime, Billy Baker was undefeated at 215 I believe. And I believe Belmont did go undefeated.....followed by New Pal, Pendleton hts, not sure about the rest.
