    Madison vs. New Albany

  2. Unless the form on the IHSAA site is wrong that is not what it states? https://ihsaa.org/Portals/0/boys sports/wrestling/Physicians Clearance 2019-20.pdf?ver=2019-11-18-153523-410 "The sub-7% male or sub-12% female, upon physician clearance, may not wrestle below his/her alpha weight." "The wrestler named has received clearance as provided by the Indiana High School Athletic Association Wrestling Weight Control Program to participate at a wrestling weight not lower than his/her Alpha Weight (present weight) which is below the 7% (male) or 12% (female) minimum body fat allowance. EXAMPLE: Alpha weight 110 pounds; 7% weight 114 pounds. Wrestler may wrestle no lower than the 113 pound weight class."

    Madison vs. Salem

  4. from my understanding if he bodyfat under the 7% you need to just have the physician note filled out to allow his bellow 7% alpha weight to count.
  5. Wood memorial event doesn't exist anymore. They aren't wrestling this year.
  6. Rage on the Stage. Man its almost like I have heard that event name before lol
  7. Current Roster at 34. Lost three kids from last years team. One was a senior. Another injured himself and then after playing football this year decided basketball was the route he was going to take, pretty good wrestler also could of made a run in the tourney. The final decided he was going to focus on running sports Finished the season last year with 20 on roster so we have alot of new faces, including some new football players with no wrestling experience giving it a whirl. It ebbs and flows from year to year. I have had classes were kids no matter what you did just weren't involved in sports. Last couple of classes have had lots of competitive kids and we have seen our numbers rise. Madison hovers around low 800's in enrollment. So 30+ kids for us is a good turnout. When I was in school here back in the 90's and our enrollment was over 1000 we still only had 20-30 kids in the program. Goal is to try to reach that 40 kid mark this season. It also helps when the coaches son is starting his freshman year and he can talk his football teammates into coming out.
  8. Well they would loose because thats only 212 to 220 duh
  9. I say TripleB Appetite should be in this pound for pound list.

  12. but are leg and arm sleeves without padding legal if they don't have a logo on them?
  13. Don't see any mention in there if arm or leg sleeves without pads are legal?!?!?!?!

  17. yea the amount of spots open for the football players i encourage to wrestle reduces and I would expect #'s ofr teams would reduce as well.
  18. If only someone up in that region could take a joke haha
  19. Man it's to bad Region 2 doesnt have someone that can get info out to the masses to promote the sport. Maybe if someone up in that area could start a webpage or something?!
  20. This is a great idea and I know Keith Davidson has talked about looking into sponsorships like this when he was getting into the president role of the ISWA. I know he has created a sponsorship board position and I would imagine they have been looking into this to help offset the cost for our Indiana athletes. Not sure of details because I am not on the board but I guarantee they would welcome the input or help on this.
