    Y2 I'm impressed that you spoke to the all powerful one and not one of his assistants.You must have a lot of pull. Let's hold off on cancelling I'm actually within walking distance to Conseco this year.

    Is it even snowing in Munster, CP, or Mville? I haven't had snow all day. I know they would never do it, but why not change the venue? Any of the 4 schools could host if needed. That would also keep the kids on a Weds/Sat schedule for making weight. Just a thought.

    Looks like snow has moved east of Portage on weather radar. Do you think if it is postponed it will be moved to Thursday or maybe just wait and do it next Wednesday?

    Sean no practice today? If thats the case the teams will get an extra pound tomorrow. Hopefully, the snow will pass. None of the teams are traveling too far anyway so just leave early and everything will be fine.

    Maybe now that Billy Maldonado is the AD at East Chicago he could get his brother David to convince Merrillville to give the SS to ECC. I'm realize that there is alot more to hosting than just providing the facility, but I bet with all the contacts and connections Billy has in the wrestling community that they would have no problem getting the help they would need to run a successful tourney. Just imagine being able to stretch out in the morning rounds and have the same amount of seating on all 4 sides upstairs. Do all wrestlers and fans a favor ECC, apply to the IHSAA to host the semistate!

    Pretty sure Tyler is going 171.

    Xcard 82 was my first time to State. Fernando Trevino caught fire at the right time. He was unstoppable on his feet. Another surprise in 89 was Omar Martin who seemed to sneak by in every round.I remember in the semis he spent at least the last minute of the match on his back and still won.

    Did they seed and draw this tourney last week before the cancellation? Just wondering if there will be brackets posted.

    What a great idea. We really really need some new officials. Coaches, if you have any wrestlers or former wrestlers that might be interested, you should encourage them to attend. As many people have noticed, we usually see the same 10-15 officials at meets during the year. There is going to come a time when some of the guys will step away, so we need to get some newer officials involved and get them some experience so that when some of the older officials start to step away , there will be some officials ready to step in.

    It is not that bad, we have stayed there a lot. You really aren't in your room much anyway. The way we see it, at 3 am a bed is a bed lol.
